An Angry World dives into our conscious.
Kendall Fredrick Person has written one dazzler of a novel. A master of the English language, his words aren't just to be read but savored, talked about and explored. The story evolves around an accident involving a young child and how everyone in his world reacts to the trajedy. While the novel certainly lives up to its title, Person is careful not to offer a tragedy without hope. Ironically, the novel actually is about redemption of the human spirit and the ongoing quest for peace, tranquility and love. There is a host of charaters, from Arizona and Johnnie, the child's parents, to Dave Roberts the leader of a white hate group, Ricky Swift, the leader of a Black hate group and unbelievably, God Almighty himself. Only a novelist who truly understands the craft of writing could combine fact and fiction, hate and love, and redemption and condemnation within the same story without missing a beat. His words literally take a reader inside of the book where you can feel every angry word and are overcome with conviction at the present of the Holy Spirit. This is not a religious novel, but rather attempts to show us how to locate our inner peace even when the world is burning down around us. If Person's latest release doesn't catapult him into mainstream, then this truly is An Angry World.

A Delightful Read!
Definately one of the most engrossing Regency novels it has ever been my pleasure to encounter! Dulcie Bligh, the dear Baroness, is a fascinating protagonist. With her ever-changing hair colours, her outrageous pets, and delight in amateur sleuthing, she keeps the action moving right along, pulling the reader with her. A must read for anyone who enjoys a love story AND a bit of a mystery, complete with a generous dollop of humour on the side.

LOTS OF IDEAS HERE
I liked this book because it talks about different methods you can use to solve problems, and it also talks about puppy behavior so you know what to expect and why your puppy acts the way he does. I learned a lot from reading this book and was able to correct several problems I was having with my new pup.

A Good Look into the Lewis & Clark Expedition
Gail Langer Karwoski has done an excellent job of fictionalizing the Lewis & Clark adventure by drawing on details from their diaries. Using Lewis' dog, Seaman, as a focal point, she details the many dangers and perils faced by the explorer group while doing good character development of the protagonists. Sacagawea and York, a slave owned by Clark, are shown in their pivotal contributions (often ignored) to the expedition. My only criticism revolves around the portrayal of the various Native American groups encountered by Lewis & Clark. Because she has drawn on the diaries and their viewpoint, various tribes are depicted as either "noble savages" or "thieving Indians" and deeper cultural issues are not explored as to the traditions of these varied groups. Overall an excellent book, but perhaps best read with adult guidance.

Seaman
If you like books about adventure and discovery this is the book for you! I enjoyed this book because of the fact that I have been on most of the rivers and most of the places that Lewis and Clark went to in this book. At the beginning of the book it explains that Captain Lewis and Captain Clark are being sent by President Jefferson to explore the Louisiana Purchase (at least the upper half) and to go to the other side of the continent. I was amazed by the fact that it took 10 shots or more to kill a grizzly bear but I won't tell you all the details. I don't want to spoil it for you. If you are a kid or adult. I would highly recommend reading this book. I read this book for a school assignment.

Meticulous attention to historic detail and background
Seaman: The Dog Who Explored The West With Lewis & Clark is a wonderfully written, very highly recommended historical novel. Young readers will thrill to the story of an epic American saga showcased through Lewis' brave and loyal dog Seaman, the first dog to cross the continent and open up the west for the fledgling country of America. Author Gail Karwoski has given meticulous attention to historic detail and background, always the hallmark of a superior historical novel. She combines this with an impressive gift for storytelling that will engage young readers from first page to last. One special and unique feature is the Q & A format for the "Author Notes" at the end of this remarkable work.

Fun and funny cookery for grits lovers and wannabes.
I loved this book! It's the perfect gift for a grits lover or someone who should be. The biscuit recipe is one of the best I've ever tried. And the Grits Au Gratin is out of this world! Also don't miss the Seven and a Half Layer Bars and Carrot Cake! Grits make these traditional desserts more moist and delicious than ever.

A great souvenir from a great Southern cook!
This cookbook would make a darling souvenir for anyone who enjoys novel recipes. Be sure to try the gooey butter cake. Everybody loves it, and you really can't believe it's made with grits. You'll also enjoy the witty cartoons. Really cute!

Grits for a Yankee
My daughter married a gent from Texas, and he is a "Grits Guy". Knowing nothing about grits I bought the book "Gone With The Grits". An eye opener for an oatmeal guy like me. Great and easy recipes, and even (to my surprise) tasty. If you need to know about grits, this is a fun cookbook to read.
