Being a British citizen living in Greece 4 the last 18 years i was able to study Greek Litereture as part of my general worldwide literature Knowledge.I rate the book with 4 stars only because it might lose a small part of its charm due to the translation. But i am sure that it will fascinate all readers from the young to the elderly.With Kavafis(poetry) and with Tsirkas's Trilogy u will cover the best part of modern greek literature.It is a MUST 4 every educated,open-minded and interested in literature person! I am sure that with his fascinating discriptions u will fall in love with the eastern Mediterranian for good. It is in many ways superior to many European Giants. It is the book which i whould take with me on a desert island if i were to take only one item!
