Wonderful book!
It is easy to read with very beautiful colors. I have three Ewe students from Togo and am hard pressed to find books to reflect their culture. I'm sure that the Ewe in Ghana and Togo are related and my students will be able see some of their culture reflected in the book. Thanks Deborah!

Kente Cloth
A warm multicultural book, that gives an enlightining look at the traditional hand weaving of the Kente Cloth. The book is an exciting celebration of culture by the Ashante people of Ghana and the Ewe of Ghana and Togo. The steady rhythum of rhyming text along with its bright and colorful illustrations are sure to attract the attention of young readers. As an educator I would use this book to introduce colors and weaving activities to young children. The use of rhyme is a great springboard for strenghthening students phonemic awarness. I would give this book 5 stars.

What a wonderful author!
Today Ms. Chocolate came to our school and read this tale for the children...not only was the story lively and vivid, but she is a truly wonderful reader who kept the kids spellbound. This is a great book and the pictures are wonderful!

Disappointed
It's a good book, recipes is well explained but not as good as the one I expected to get from Mrs Field's kitchen.Anyway it's delicious.

Excellent recipes from this thin but big hardcover!!
Cookies, cakes, sauces, shakes, and more! "Rum-soaked Chocolate Malibu cake" and "Triple Layer Chocolate Peanut Butter cheesecake" and "White Chocolate Pecan Sheets" and
"Mocha Souffle" and "Chocolate Caramel Custard". The lists of yummies go on and on. About 120 pages of recipes that are
NOT pushing someone's product. The cookbook lies flat, open to where you can see big pictures of the ultimate outcomes. Delicious! "Chocolate Peanut Flouritines."--one of our favorities.
I love this book! Good-size print! Easy to follow instructions (and I'm one who needs it easy-to-follow) You see the needed ingredients on the side, (no surprises later on in instructions) everything listed with what stage they go with (in other words, are they part of the crust, syrup, topping, or whatever) I wish more cookbook authors would take cue, make it simple to follow, feature with solid book, and don't try to slyly push products I don't want. I want to bake or cook and enjoy the
outcome.

The recipes in this book are great !!
I bought this book for myself and tried several recipes and took them to parties and to work. Everyone who tried them loved them!!! I have since bought 3 more copies as gifts for family members since they have loved the things that I have made so far from the book.

A Very Special Kwanzaa
This book does nothing but steriotype how 2 white boys pick on a black child. As an African American, I am deeply disappointed that the book does nothing to tell the world about the wonderful holiday of Kwanzaa. How is the world to find out anything about our sacred holiday when you have to wade through 100 pages of "All whites are terrible" steriotypes. In summation, this book was poorly written and does nothing to further the black cause.
