Truly Comforting and Inspirational
I read this book recently for the second time. I am truly amazed by the events in this book. I too had a child who died who was born the same year as the author's Heather. My child passed away in the same hospital as Heather. I share the author's tremendous grief and have renewed my faith in God. I live in the vicinity of the author and have visited Heather's grave many many times, praying that Heather can find my child in heaven and let him know how very much I love and miss him. After reading this book I too am praying for communications beyond the grave. I can't wait!

IT IS A VERY GOOD BOOK!!!!
This was an excellent book. My aunt wrote it 6 years after my cousin Heather's death. It is about going through lifes obstacles of losing a loved one. She talks alot about her old religon and how it had an effect on her beliefs. After Heather died she started showing my aunt that there was life after death. And by these happenings it forced my aunt out of her religon to reconsidering new beliefs and reincarnation. After she got through her "obstacles" in life she showed that many other people can get out of the religon too and she makes people believe in the unexplained. It is a really good book and please consider in reading her other two books out!! There is also a movie coming out on Heather's Return in 2002. It's as good as the book. Please go and see it when it comes out!!!! Many kids in my school read this book and were very interested in it so please take the time to read it and tell other people about it!

Believable and Inspirational
Someone gave me this book about 3 years ago, and I just read it this past week. I couldn't put it down. Geri Colozzi Wiitala relates the remarkable "coincidences" that happen after her 17 year old daughter's death in 1990. I found myself reading pages outloud to my partner and some friends because I was so excited by the intensity of some of the "coincidental" events. Excited, because I, too, often see many syncronicities in my life. There is one example that Wiitala relates about seeing a license plate with a significant name, at a very 'coincidental' time, and I was so interested because I often see 'meaningful' license plates at "meaningful" times. You will enjoy this book, and you will be inspired! You will remember the syncronicities in your own life, and you will want to be open to seeing more. I decided to keep a Journal of my experiences, because of Wiitala's book.

Great Gift Book
This is a lovely little gift book for adoptive families highlighting the special relationships forged through adoption. It even comes with a small silver-plated heart charm that can be used as a bookmark or on a bracelet or necklace. I've ordered several now for my adoptive children and for my friends who are adoptive parents. It's a wonderful small treasure.

For All Adoptive Parents!
I found this little book moving and inspirational. Who would have known the range of people who were adopted or who are adoptive parents. This book makes a great gift for my friends who are thinking of adopting, and older adopted children. It is full of warmth and love, and quite intellectual and wide ranging in its material. What a great contribution to the boggling array of adoption books out there.

Adoption is another word for love
This is a lovely book to give as a gift to friends or family with adopted children and to all of your children themselves. The fact that the entries are written by those who have had the experience of being adopted or of being the adopting parent sends an arrow straight to the heart. It validates the feelings of those of us who have an adopted child in our life.

Complete Idiot's Guide to Child Safety
Parents receive so much information about possible dangers to their children and what they can do to protect them that they find it difficult to know where to draw the line. What safety measures should they insist their child and other caregivers observe? Which ones are less important? This book helps them focus on what is most important. As manager of Texas Children's Center for Childhood Injury Prevention and the local Safe Kids coordinator, I hear many stories from parents about what problems might have been prevented if they had only known . . . Since we can expect each year for one child in four to be injured badly enough to need medical care, this is a most needed reference for parents.

Keep Your Kids Safe!
Keeping kids safe sounds scary, but this book offers some simple solutions. The authors not only educate readers about safety at home and school, in the car and on the bike, they also tackle safety and sports, pools, and even farms.

Did you know that falls from shopping carts are a major reason why kids visit emergency rooms? The authors explain how to keep your kid secure in the cart. Do you when your child is old enough to cross the street alone? The answer surprised me. Do you when your child is mature enough to be home alone? They offer a quiz to help you decide when your child -- and you -- are ready for that big step.

I recommend this book for anyone who watches kids between infancy and age 14. After all, keeping our kids safe and secure is just as important as letting them know they are loved.

If it still hurts, Read this.
This book puts words to the confusion and pain that happens when you go through life with an abusive father or no father at all. This book does not candy coat feelings of greif or gives a quick fix solution. Instead, it brings the hurt out in the open and shows how God can heal them no matter how deep they go. I thank God for Heather. She tells her real life story. It's nice to know you're not alone.

this is my all time favorite book
this book is my mecca the number one reason i love it so much is because heather writes with an incredible understanding for sorrow she is real i have given a copy of this book to each one of my friends saying, 'if you want to understand me better, read this'

No Regrets!
I brought this book back from England in the late '80 and it has been the envy of many of my American calligraphy friends ever since. How wonderful that it is now back in print, available and reasonably priced. An inspiration for the beginner but most especially for those who have some background or ambition in this art. The contributors themselves constitute a "Who's Who"
of the late 20th century British calligraphy world. A must have, you will love owning this book for the rest of your life. No regrets!

More Than Fine Writing
You HAVE TO read this book! Irene Wellington's works are delightful to look at. Her letters and drawings have a vitality that is sensed even in reproductions. Unlike many books on scribes, calligraphy etc, this publication is a reliable volume; editors of the book are prestigious professionals and this book can make all the difference in the education of any scribe. It is a lasting book, and although I bought this book months ago I find myself going to it constantly. The works are very appealing and refreshing.

Ever wondered how to make gild? Wonder no more!
This is probably the essential reference for calligraphers wanting to move beyond writing on paper and with randomly purchased inks.

Most books on calligraphy technique are largely devoted to lettering guides and some minimal instruction on materials. Not this one! The book contains a series of chapters written by acknowledged experts in the field.

This book is about gilding described in more detail, about cutting quills, about binding books, about preparing vellum. In short, about all those lovely calligraphy materials and techniques so often described in aggravating inadequacy in so many calligraphic how-to's.

Written well, that even the most fearful beginner can follow the instructions, this book is a boon for every calligrapher who wants to move beyond copying the ductus.

Both my children and I absolutely adore this book!
This book is "interactive" because children can't help but look for for the "little" boy who is hiding in these beautifully illustrated pictures, rich in color and detail. The text contents are a few simple, ryming sentences which makes the book equally loved by a two-year-old, or five-year-old. We have read many children's books, and I am surprised I have not heard of this one. We found it one day in the library, and we just had to have our own copy! Your children will LOVE this book! And so will you.

Understanding childhood
This book is a new project between John Wiley and the Open Unigersity based on the course on "Childhood" at that unimersity. This is the first book in a series of four dealing with childhood and youth in a modern perspective, but with a strong historical background.
The editors and the contributors are all affiliated with the Centre for Childhood, Development and Learning at the Open University and they have accomplished a great task with this book.
It was a real pleasure to read this book with its colorful illustrations and also the many questions asked in an educational and instructive way with further resourse material. You really feel like taken the actual course at Open University and many questions to be answered throughout the reading
The book has six extensive chapters on: what is a child ?, childhood in time and place, the child in development, children and rights, gendered childhoods and innocence and experience. You will find topics and information on how childhood was looked upon throughout history and how science on child development started and where we stand today. There is a wealth of information from recent international research with a pleasant lay-out.
Each chapter was clear and in a straightforward language and this book can be warmly recommended to professionals working with children, in fact even every adult with children can learn a lot from this book.
