I bought the book about two weeks ago, and I thought it was very interesting. Although I didn't like the form in which the book was written. It took me a while to understand, since it had street english.

One of the best books I've read for a long time! The subject matter, the uniqueness of the story, the style of telling it, the passion and heart in it, the power and poetry, all these things and more make it one of the best books I've read in a long time! As Dickens knew London and Balzac knew Paris, in their times, so Ming Cher knows Singapore in his time. I cannot recommend this book too highly.
