This is a great reference tool. I was somewhat disappointed that some smaller funds with outstanding track records were excluded; however, with over 9,000 funds available the authors had to draw the line somewhere.

This book is a wonderful source of mutual fund data. I am just a an average joe who needed some help in the investment world. With this book, I was able to avoid those money grubbing brokers and get business handled on my own terms. I have told all my family and friends about this book and they are just as pleased as I am. I suggest that you let Morningstar do the hard research and number crunching for you, too.

Morningstar is the reason that I have been able to retire early. Much earlier than I ever thought possible. I have recommended their various publications to friends of mine, who have all come up to thank me later on. And the folks at Morningstar are just beautiful people.

I found this book after reading the same author's earlier book on the same topic "Children of Eve" which he wrote while working at a homeless shelter for teenagers in Los Angeles. That book was amazing but this one was better. I freaked out when I saw this book uses the "make your own adventure" format. So instead of just reading about what life is like for teenagers on the streets I got to be one. I never really thought about what I would do if I was homeless until I had to actually make choices like mug somebody or be a prostitute just to eat. You have to make a choice like that every so often and turn to a different page to pick up the story depending on what you chose. I kept going back to read the alternate paths. It was fascinating. I have never read any other book like this. If you have any curiosity about what life is like for street kids, read this. I'm 23 and I never ran away from home so for me it was just curiosity, but if I had a teenager I would give them this book. If somebody had given me this book when I was a teenager it would have scared the hell out of me.
