Cute little book
This little book is cute and perfect for new readers. It has little paper doll like things, such as an invitation, song book, and telegram.

Charming little book
This book is really cute. My 4 yr old daughter and I really enjoy it. All of Michelle Cartlidge's mouse books are great, and this one is especially well done.

My daughter's all time favorite book !
This small book is just the right size for little hands and holds many delightful surprises. Each two page spread has an item that can be removed from a pocket such as a tiny paper chain, a letter to Santa, a 3-d gingerbread house and a little Christmas card or a lift-the-flap activity to do. The story follows brother and sister Sam and Amy as they prepare for Christmas. My daughter loves this book so much that I had to buy a second one to have on hand just in case she misplaced the first one. The only reason that I didn't give this book a ten was because of the British wording which is sometimes confusing ; Father Christmas instead of Santa and Christmas biscuit house rather than gingerbread house. All in all, a great little book!

Mouse House
It is a surprise book for toddlers. To be able to lift the flaps and see what is underneath creates a big smile on their faces.

I Loved This Book!
When I was a young child, I would always request a trip to the library to check out this book. I never knew the correct title of it, but my mom always knew what I was talking about. It is a great book, all little girls should own one!

A Mouse's Diary is a must read
I read this book hundreds of a time when I was a child. The pictures are amazing and the story is cute. Everyone should have the chance to look at this book. If you like this book, you may want to try the Brambly Hedge series by Jill Barklem, which is another great set of books about mice. These books also have fabulous illustrations.

My thoughts on Fairy letters
I thought that fairy letters was a lovely book, and I enjoyed reading all about the fairies, and their names, and what they did when I was asleep. I thought that the idea of the little letters was wonderful, but found them a little tricky to get back into the envelopes, and therefore have already lost one. But it was little bit like knowing somebodies thougths and feelings, perhaps a little bit like reading someones diaries, very exciting and secretive.

Fairy Letters
My oldest daughter received a book called "Mouse Letters" by Michelle Cartlidge in the early 1990's. When I saw this book, I was excited to buy one for my three year old daughter. It is an adorable book, but "Fairy Letters" is almost exactly the same as "Mouse Letters". The pictures are identical, but the letters and some of the mice names are different. If you don't already own "Mouse Letters" then I highly recomment "Fairy Letters"!

Like this book, but wish it were the smaller size
This book is a story of a little mouse and her ballet performance. It might be considered a "pop up" book because it has little flaps and pieces that you pull out as part of the story.

If you are familiar with Michelle Cartlidge's little mouse series, then you will probably like this one. My daughters and I collect these books and this one has a cute story and cute illustrations. The ending is particularly good. However, I can't give it 5 stars because I have to say I was diappointed. I didn't like the larger size of this book (the older ones are very small). The bigger size makes it easier for little hands to pull out all the little "pull-outs", but the book is so much bigger (than "Mouse Wedding" or "Mouse's Scrapbook" for example) that it isn't as charming as those older, hard-to-find books. Also, I didn't like how the words in the little pull-outs (the card from the ballet teacher, the program for the performance, etc.) were typed out in this book, so that the typeface matched the rest of the book. In the older books, the pull-outs are all handwritten, so they really looked like miniature cards and notes.

If you haven't bought any of these books before, then you or any little girl will probably like this one very much, as it is a cute book. But if you have some of the older ones, then it isn't as cute as those. (Note: this book isn't for a toddler - they'll probably ruin it. The book is more for the 5 and up crowd. But this book work for you if your toddler doesn't mind letting YOU pull out the notes and letters. Just save it for when she's older).
