This is an awesome book. It is full of amazing suspense and drama, yet so realistic at the same time. Its not like those books that are too great to be true, and just aren't possible. When I read this book I was dying to get my hands on book No.2, and it leaves you with a melancholy feeling in your heart, because good things and bad things both happen at the same time and you end up not knowing how to feel. This book pitches you into the world of 14 year old Allison, who is the unhappy daughter of a movie star mother, and ends up making a treacherous journey across the country, to try to find the grandfather that she never knew she had. On the way she meets many other people and also finds who she is inside. This book is so real, you feel like you are living it with Allison. If the rest of the Allison Chronicles are like this, than these books will be high on my list with favorites. If you have read and liked books like these, than you will love these books. You won't be sorry you read them!!!

This is such a good book, I garrentee you will love it. I have probably read it a thousand times, along with all the other books in this series. One word of caution, don't start to read them in less you have all of them with you, and you have plenty of time. Once you start reading you won't want to stop until your finished with all of them. Belive me I learned that the hard way.

This book is a bout a girl who escapes from boarding school and goes to New York in her mom's apartament. Her mom doesn't care about her and wants her to pretend they are sisters for the good of her acting career. In New York she finds a letter from a person who really loves her. The only person who has loved her except for her dad. then Allison decides to go see him. What will happen? This book is the best book and most precious book I have ever read. It's wonderful.

I think "Autumn Secrets" is a reallly nice book. It's also really touching, and it's sort of a mysteryious book! I think anyone the age of 12 and over should read it. It's one of my favorite sequels, and I need to find the rest of them!!!!

Now that I've read this book... I can't wait for #4 of this series! Melody Carlson captures the reader's attention with suspense and understanding in AUTUMN SECRETS. THE ALLISON CHRONICLES are the best books that I have ever read!

What happens to Andrew and James! And Grace , Heather and Allison! They can't be dead. When is the next book coming out? What will it be called? Are they dead, injured or missing?This is one of my favorite series.But it always ends in suspense. Would some body tell me what is going to happen? I'll be waiting for the next book.

I heard a mother tell of reading this book to her children for Easter. My own son is now an adult ( no children yet) but I felt so strongly about the message of the book that I am buying it for my husband's grandchildren.

This book is a tradition for our family -- our kids eagerly anticipate getting it out of the "Easter" box every spring. The illustrations are very beautiful yet very kid-friendly -- I *loved* the fact that they show children who (despite their era-appropriate clothing) look like any child you'll see today riding down the street on a skateboard. Also, Jesus has dark hair -- the illustrator didn't turn our thoroughly Jewish Lord into a blond haired, blue eyed European as so many artists do. Kudos for that! I can't recommend this book highly enough!

This book is most effectively used with the Resurrection Eggs sold by FAMILY LIFE. The egg carton contains 12 colorful plastic Easter eggs and each has a small item in it which corresponds to an event which happened to Jesus from Palm Sunday through Easter Sunday.

Benjamin's Box is a story about a young boy who follows Jesus during this most important week and he picks up small reminders of the events and puts them in a special box his grandfather gave him. The pages in the book have a colored Easter egg at the top which corresponds to an egg in the Resurrection Egg package. The child finds that egg and opens it to discover the item that Benjamin just picked up.

I used the Benjamin's Box/Resurrection Egg combination with my 5 year old son's Church School class on Palm Sunday. THEY LOVED IT!!! I hid the eggs and let them find them. We then sat down, read the story, and whoever had the corresponding egg for a particular page opened it told how what they found went along with the story. When the story was done, we mixed the eggs all up and opened them at random - the kids remembered how the items related to the story of Jesus after listening to it just one time! I was very impressed (and so were their parents).

I can't recommend this book and the Resurrection Eggs highly enough.

I've read all four Allison Chronicles. They are my favourite books! Cherished Wish is about a 14 year old,Allison O'Brian. She is just reunited with her father who is supposedly dead. She is just getting to know her father when her movie-star mother's secretary comes to take her to summer camp.After camp Allison starts spending time with her mother and finds out she actually cares about her mother! Does she want to live with her mom? Would she rather live with her dad and live a normal life? Find out all these things in Cherished Wish!

This second book in the Allison Chronicles series is just as good as the first book, if not better. I've read all four books in the series and they are all equally good. I suggest you read each of them!

I had never read any Melody Carlson books before, so when I chose this one out at a christian bookstore, I had no idea (except a slight one from the reveiw on the back) what an amazing book this is! If you don't like it, well than you must not really like books! This is a suspenseful and exciting book, that I highly recommend! I am now rushing to order the next two books!

I can't believe this book is out of print! It tell the story of an angel who sacrifices herself to be the Star of Bethlehem. The ending is so touching, so beautiful, that it makes me cry every time I read it. It is a book for children and grown-ups and should be on everyone's shelf to share during the holidays. Why oh why did it go out-of-print?! I hope the publishers reconsider and republish it next holiday season!

This is really a wonderful book not just for children but for adults also. It's the story of an angel named Grace who gives up her heavenly life to come to earth to help Jesus Christ from his birth to his mortal death. If you are really on the fence about organized religion this is the book you need to help you explain to young children about the Savior's mission. It will also help explain selfless love and caring.

The illustrations in the book were great, really help kids and adults stay interested. This book is a Christmas Tradition in our home!

Whenever people are strugling they know God loves them, but how does that help them? Through this book of God's loving promises God can help you through anything, all you have to do is believe. I had it for two days, and i loved it so much that i gave it to one of my friends as best and most encouraging gift i could give.

Letters from God for Teens : God's Promises for You (Letters from God) is a great book, it helps you through the hard times in life and time when you are feeling down in life. The advice given can help you in your journey in your relationship with GOD.

Ok, so I thought that now we are moving on to a new character in this series that it would, well, pale in comparison to the first four books. I was proved wrong. Melody Carlson have created another character who will steal you're heart and feel her pain. I was home all day and I read the book in a day, i could NOT put it down! I recommend this for any teenage girl!

Though I was disappointed at first that this book was about Chloe and not Caitlin from the other Diary books, I was pleasantly surprised. I thoroughly enjoyed the book, and I feel more teens can relate to Chloe. She's not as 'perfect' as Caitlin, and she's more 'in your face.' You won't be disappointed when if you decide to read this book. Now I just want to know more about Caitlin and what she's doing. I hope Carlson continues to write about her, as well as Chloe.

My five year old and I read this book at least twice a month, and we love it. I love that it teaches a valuable precept for living, and I love the rhyming and pictures. And my son hardly ever rejects a suggestion to read this book; what more can I say? Altogether wonderful! Thank you, Melody and Steve. I'm going to order The Other Brother now.

This book is an excellent way to teach preschoolers about the parable of the two houses. The story is told in rhyme which keeps their attention and the pictures are a wonderful complement to the story. They will want to read it over and over!

Melody Carlson is one of my favorite authors and this book is wonderful! I can usually tell from the first page if I'll like a book, and this one grabs your attention right away. The characters are all described in great detail. The book is romantic, funny and suspenseful all in one!

... I mostly read light fiction, sometimes they are a little deeper in context, after one of those I love to read easy, happy ending books. After the third Allison Chronicle I thought they may all end in suspence, I wish the fourth would have ended diferently, at least take us through the wedding!! I am amazed and saddened that this is the last of the series, and very dissapointed how "Dreams of Promise" ended. Andrew and Allison should have at least had a good night kiss after the dance!!! ....

The Allison Chronicles are some of the best books I have ever read! They provide situations that I can learn from and apply to my own life. All 4 books were fabulous, but I am extremely disapointed that there are only 4!

The Allison Chronicles are amazing! I can't put them down! WHY DOES MELODY CARLSON HAVE TO END THE SERIES???? That's ridiculous! If you are thinking about reading the series...don't, because you will be disappointed when there isn't a true ending.
