Mr. Pudgins is the best childhood fantasy book I've read!
I have a copy of this wonderful book..After reading the comments on others trying to get a copy, I feel very fortunate to still have my battered, but readable copy of Mr. Pudgins to share with the children in my life.. I would be willing to photo copy the pages for anyone wishing to read this story..(That is legal isn't it??)For anyone interested..Please e-mail me. This classic book will give your children a memory they will carry with them into their adulthood. I read this book to my nephew over 20 years ago and when I found the book in an old box I called him to see if he remembered, and of course he did. He is now trying to get me to give him my only copy. This book should be reprinted for circulation, Does anyone know if the author is still with us?

My favorite book.
Mr. Pudgins probably saved my life as a child. I read it over and over and virtually lived with Mr. Pudgins and the children. I always wished that I could have a babysitter like Mr. Pudgins, but, of course, it never happened. My favorite memory of the book is the christmas ornament bubbles that he blew with live scenes of all their adventures. Unfortunately, several years ago, when I went to retrieve it from the box it was stored in, it turned out the whole box was missing. I was devistated and have been searching for a copy ever since. I consider it one of the best children's books ever written.

This book is one of my top five favorites from my childhood.
I seem to be like many other readers of Mr. Pudgins; I hoped that my parents would find a babysitter as magical and fun as Mr. Pudgins. My favorite parts include the soda from the faucets and the train that blew real smoke. The story reminded me of a male Mary Poppins, another of my favorite stories. I have been searching for a copy of this book for several years myself and was very disappointed to find that it was no longer in print. Along with your other customers, I would strongly urge any publishing company to reprint this wonderful book. Then, once again this magical story would be available to another generation of children!

My absolute favorite book in elementary school
I can't believe I actually found it. I read this book some where between 1970 and 1971, while a student in the New York City public school system. I did a book report complete with pictures that I colored myself. I am now in my mid forties. I have been searching for this book for quite some time, but I thought the girls' name was Hillary, instead of Hildy, thus I could not find it. I only give books as gifts to children, so I too, am sad to see that it is out of print. This book will stimulate the minds of young people without frightening them. Harry potter move over, this is the original!

It is truly a shame that this wonderful book is out of print
Who of us has not wondered what it would be like to have our wishes granted? With the help of a magical cuckoo clock, Hildy learns to deal with a new school and classmates. There is also a slight element of spookiness with the possibility of her new house being haunted by the mischevious ghost of a little boy. The chapter about all the drinking fountains at the school running different kinds of pop is hilarious! This was one of my favorite books growing up.
