Terrific fun.
Number 2 in the 'mancer series.Aquamancer intro- duces new characters, along with the our original friends. Callander does an excellent job with his characters and handles his plots with humor and fun. You will find yourself searching for all the books in this series. Easy reading and relaxing!

Exellent Book! A Must Reader
This is a great book, i have read all the mancer books and they are fantasticly great. If you love fantasy you will love all of Don Callander's books. This one is by far the best mancer book i have read(except geomancer, because i have not read it yet. It is out of print). I hope you enjoy this book and all the others by Don Callander.

Book #5 is terriffic reading!
Marbleheart's adventure with the young faerie prince is great fun. This is just as delightful as the rest of the 'mancer series. Hopefully, Don Callander will keep the series going. You will enjoy all the characters. The books are fun! If you haven't read any of the 'mancer series, do so.You are missing the humor and fun!

Good, fun book typical of the author
This book is a lot of fun to read, but even more so if you've read Callander's other Mancer novels. He brings back characters from most of those novels and ties up a few loose ends from those books. If you've never read fantasy before or (like me) you're a fan of Callander, then Marbleheart is a great book.

Simplistic, But Fun
The first time I read this book, I was about sixteen, and I loved it. I liked the characters and the style of the writing. I couldn't wait for the inevitable sequels. However, when I read it again, only two years later, it wasn't quite the same. I read the whole book and I couldn't put my finger on what was missing. Well, again two years passed and I read it one more time and that time I was able to identify what was less than perfect about it.

First, though, it was well-written. The book was fun. I will definitely read it again in the future and I will enjoy it. All the characters, even the little mentioned ones and the "bit players", are enjoyable and likable. The villians are bumbling and fun to laugh at and also somewhat likable. The first time I read it I got quite caught up in the plot and I enjoyed reading about the hero's training.

However, when I say the book is simplistic, I do mean it. The bad guys aren't really bad guys so much as fumbling and idiotic. They stood no chance at winning any time in the book and it was obvious. Plot holes popped up, but were ignored. It's written in such good spirit though, that it's sort of hard to complain about it.

I'd suggest this book to older children who like fantasy as a good entry point into reading more epic fantasy. (It's certainly better than a lot of the books out there for older children and teenagers, anyway.) I also suggest it for anybody who wants to read about the good guys triumph easily over the bad guys and then read about the celebration for that triumph.

One of my favorite novels!
This book is one of the novels that I like the best! I usually don't read novels very often, but I made an exception for this book. Once I started reading it I couldn't put it down! I've always been a fan of fantasy and sci-fi books, so I really liked Pyromancer, because it has a lot of fantasy elements in it. Basically this book is about Douglas Brightglade, a young boy who's chosen by Flarman Flowerstalk to be an apprentice Pyromancer. A Pyromancer is basically a fire wizard who conjures and controls all forms of fire. If you like this book, be sure to get the other books, as well!

Best fantazy I've ever read (and it was translated!)
This is one great book! The best fantazy I have ever read. And Having in mind that it was translated to my language (Bulgarian), it must have lost one bit of it's magic in the translation process. So far I have read it more than 20 times, but soon I'll read it in original (English), to gain on the lost effect.

Wonderful!

A wonderful book, and a wonderful series
I have read this whole series, and all of it is wonderful. In a simple seeming world, of familiar and simple names.... wonderful things occur. The author makes an unbelievable household of Wizards High, and makes you wish you lived in this world.... read this series... very good

Entertaining and delightful!
Callander does an excellent job, especially with his various characters. All of the books in the 'mancer series, this is #4, are charming and fun! This is extremely easy reading, if you haven't read any of these, do so. You'll enjoy them.

Dragon Tempest
I must admit I am not as well pleased by this title as I was with the first in the series. I really enjoyed the "Dragons Companion" first book, the second one "Dragons Rescue" was too thrilling, and the third one is diffinitely alot better then the second one. I am happy to say that the series appears to be looking up so far and I am very relieved to see that a fourth book is left open for writing at the ending of this one.

Don't expect much from Companion
"Dragon Companion" is a very low-thought fantasy novel. This book would be great for a young child interested in starting in fantasy. The plot is straightforward and simple, but lacks depth. Perhaps the most important question (why the companion got into a new world) is never answered. The companion solves these "problems" using simple logic. Don't expect much tension or page turning suspense. Instead, pass this book on to children in order to increase their reading aptitude.

Excellent, the first fantasy book I've read...
Callander used a creative style of writing and made it interesting. It was a fun book to read and I enjoyed it.

Interesting and fun Book for everyone
Callander used a creative but not too complicated style of writing to keep the reader interested, whether they're an adult or a kid. All in all, a great book to get into and hard to put down!
