Helpful
Answers important question widows face.
Another great another book for widows is Write from Your Heart, A Healing Grief Journal. This book lets your emotions flow onto the pages. It creates a memory journal when you are done.

My Mom
Wow, it is 2001, 15 years after my Mom left this world and here I sit with technology that did not exist when she was living. I thought for kicks that I would look up her name and her last book popped up. She finished it the day before she died! She was one of the most extraordinary humans I have ever met. I hope her words continue to help those in need - they helped me!

Jon Caine, Son of Widow!!!

A must have book for widows.
When my husband died, a friend brought me this book. I felt the last thing I wanted was a book about widowhood. But, when I opened the cover and started reading, I knew I had found what I needed. Lynn Caine knows how it feels to lose a husband. She offers a practical and understanding approach to being a widow. I now pass this book on to other widows.

Painfully Passionate and Honest
With the angst and aguish of her loss seething on every single page, this book is not just the story of loss and recovery, it is a manual of what not to do when you lose a spouse, how not to ignore the fact this event may strike at any time and true insight into a pained and tormented soul, that of a woman you will come to love and hate as you read on.

This is one of the all time best books ever written on the subject of the loss of a husband. The enviable lifestyle and relationship shared by the author and her husband only serve to bring the reality of her loss to light with great detail and clarity.

If you have lost a spouse, before you do anything or make any major decisions, find a copy of this book and read it. My father was killed and my mother made many of the same mistakes the author did, falling into the same pattern of errors many women who lose their husbands do.

Set in the late 1970's a lot has change, but so little has at the same time. A few of the attitudes toward widows have eased, but in some parts of our society, nothing has at all and every point made in this book will be a reality to the person suffering their this horrific loss. An outstanding work of great passion and honesty, sometimes painful honesty, this is a good book to gain sensitivity for people of all ages, married or not.

This book is a keeper for any counsellor.
Once again I am seeking a copy of Widow; I lent my copy to someone in need again and again did not get it back. It is always difficult to find good books offering sound advice in the form of an accessible story, even though such stories can be far more useful than abstract explanations. This book is one of those rare, useful tools. The author's story of coping with grief and bereavement offers many useful suggestions for others. The book contains no sermons or lectures. It is quite simply the story of her experience, told clearly and simply. Whether your help is sought by someone grieving the loss of a family member, or of a marriage, or of something else like hopes and dreams, this book can help.
