The one book you need!
This is THE book to buy on reflexology! There are a lot of other books and methods out there but this book is the original. Dwight Byers has perfected the art of reflexology, first developed by his aunt, Eunice Ingham. Not only is the information in the book presented in a clear, concise manner but it is the most accurate information on reflexology available. If you want to do reflexology either professionally or just on family and friends, this book contains what you need to be the best at what you do.

Mastering the Art & Science of Foot (and Hand) Reflexology.
This book is absolutely the very best, and most scientifically thoughtful reflexology text I have ever read, or even browsed through. I wish that this book were used as text for the 18 hour course I completed at a nearby massage school; it is that good.

Mr. Byers draws on his years of close, personal work with his Aunt Eunice Ingham (a practicing nurse), her notes, her correspondance; as well as, his own experience as a practicing reflexologist, scientist, teacher, and lecturer as matterial this dynamic text. What makes this such an awsome book is that he not only covers time-proven, accurate methods of foot reflexology, but also anatomy & physiology which is such crucial knowledge for anyone interested in holistic medicine. I have not seen such adequate coverage of anatomy in any other volume, as it appears here. In addition, Mr. Byers takes an uncubersome scienticic approach, coupled with an easy reading, easy comprehending writting style, with plenty of clear illustrations which makes it a perfect for practitioner and layman alike. He leaves nothing to the immagination. Though I have one copy already, I intend to purchase another for a backup -something I've never done with any other book. It is that good!!!!!!!

Please, please, please buy this book, you won't be sorry!!!

American Pronghorn: Social Adaptations & the Ghosts of Predators Past

Pronghorn are not antelope!!!
This book basically explains why pronghonr are the coolest animal on earth. Big, mean, fast predators a really long time ago selected for fast moving animals. Pronghorn have really good eye sight and live in really open places. They have really intersting reproductive adaptations. They are a really neat animal.

This book is based on almost 20 years of experience from the National Bison Range. This book is very well known in the science community and very respectable. I know of classes that use this book. Its a dang good book.

This is a comprehensive text yet enjoyable to read.
This text on Reflexology may fool you at first in that it is written in an easy to read language for the novice and the experienced. However, it is highly comprehensive and the drawings very helpful. Colored pullout charts of the hands and feet are also included for you to have a better understanding of reflex placement as you learn. I would also highly recommend books by Mr. Byers' Aunt, E. Ingham, a pioneer in modern Reflexology. Having had the great opportunity to learn first hand from Mr Byers, I can tell you that this book is close to what is taught in class and has helped cont. my learning efforts.

At long last...
Finally, a complete, comphrensive FIELD guide to the birds of India! Gone are the days of hauling 2 or 3 hardcover bird books to the subcontinent just to be able to identify relatively common species. The drawings in this book are excellent, the descriptions very detailed, and the range maps very helpful. My two criticisms are that birders familiar with the common names in Salim Ali's "The Book of Indian Birds" will be confused with the revised nomenclature in this guide (based on the Inskipp's Indian Checklist); some changes are relatively minor, while others are so dramatically different (and frankly puzzling) that cross-referencing is a chore. The second involves the seperation of many of the range maps from the plates and descriptions, sometimes by many pages. This was due to the large number of species featured on some plates- there just wasn't enough room for the maps also. A better strategy might have been to put them all in the back of the book. But the benefits of this book far outweigh the shortcomings- my next trip to India promises to be more rewarding and productive bird-wise (as well as easier on my back)due to this excellent and overdue field guide.

Rosemary's Baby Meets The Glow
I am giving this very derivative novel two stars only because John Saul is a good writer and is fun to read. In the hands of someone less skilled, it would deserve perhaps one star. In the first place, I am aghast at the fact that Brad Evans, an attorney with two young children, would have no life insurance to protect his family! A 26-year-old single female attorney, less than a year out of law school, told me she already has a quarter of a million dollars in life insurance. Unbelievable! (That is the biggest suspension of disbelief in the book!)

Secondly, you can see everything coming, and I do mean everything. I realize The Glow was not a particularly best-selling book, but did no one else sense the "Rosemary's Baby" connection? And The Glow was recently on television. I read this only because I was on a long car trip with my in-laws and found this preferable!

If you are at all familiar with some classic horror books or movies, don't bother to read this book. Caroline is a twit! Ryan is a holy terror (even if he's right). The situation the family finds itself in is laughable. Do not bother with this book!

Eerie Suspense
Suspense and murder set against the façade of an eerie New York apartment building form the backdrop for this latest novel from veteran author John Saul. When Caroline Evans' husband is murdered while jogging, her world is turned upside down. Trying to raise ten-year-old Ryan and twelve-year-old Laurie on the meager salary of an antique store employee, Caroline barely has enough money to survive. When she meets Tony Fleming, her circumstances seem to improve.

Upon their marriage, Caroline and her children move into Tony's apartment in The Rockwell, an ancient apartment building abounding with rumors of dead bodies and ghouls. Though many of the residents other than Tony are elderly, they seem unusually friendly towards the children even as Caroline begins to redecorate Tony's apartment. But Ryan's outspoken aversion to his kindly step-father and Laurie's nightmares put a damper on Caroline's newfound happiness. And when Laurie's sickness comes on the heels of the illness of their young neighbor Rebecca, Caroline begins investigating Tony's sacred study. The secrets she discovers there give Caroline a chilling sense of foreboding as Laurie's evil dreams intensify and she weakens further.

Mr. Saul has craftily executed the quintessential suspense/horror novel with the normality of the book's beginning being marred by the introduction of terrorizing elements. The mystery is a gradual evolution captivating the reader's attention. The only drawback is the somewhat abrupt ending after such a spellbinding build-up.

It is too good to be a fiction
John Saul did it again. Midnight Voices is the story about a widow in New York City is struggling to raise two of her children and the thrill starts when she remarried. With the connection of her best friend and neighbor girl death, she and her children feel some kind of strange that the people from the same building where she live with her new husband are paying too much attention to them.New husband's closed study room, the son's story about old pictures and neigbors strange attitudes make her eager to know more about history of the building where she stays currently.
Unable to stop reading it because the book give you a lot of excitements

Talk about miscommunication!
In the fashion of other John J. Nance novels, this one keeps you turning pages. "Turbulence" is an exciting adventure that takes place on an airplane of Meridian Airlines. The flight attendants are contemplating strike, the customer service agent hates passengers, Meridian, and his job, while the pilots seem to be lacking in sufficient training. There are many angry people within the pages.

In "Turbulence", both the action and the inaction of various characters in the story brings about bizarre and dangerous interpretations by other of the story's characters. Incredible danger aboard an already malfunctioning airline is the result of such far-fetched translations.

Not only is the cockpit crew lacking in qualities usually attributed to those flying passenger airplanes, but this flight has a "nurse Rachet"(from Ken Keysey's "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest") as the head flight attendant. Add some terrorists, paranoia and undisciplined behavior from disgruntled passengers and you have "Turbulence".

Nance's novels are quick to read because you don't want to put them down and "Turbulence" follows suit in this respect.

The Best Nance Novel I've Read
I have finally faced the fact that a Nance novel can't be put down, and so I plan a special day for one. My "Turbulence" day was great - and, like the rest of his novels, I was captured. He taps that fear of being trapped five miles above the earth with no way out except a safe landing.

Most of his plots involve political intrigue or seriously disturbed crews. Turbulence, however, hits very close to home for anyone who has recently flown on "Cattle Chute Airways" (and there is a lot us). Customer neglect and now the stress of terrorist fears, pack airplanes with passengers on the dangerous edge of revolt. Nance crams his plane with believable characters and builds the story to a gripping peak.

Turbulence carries a definite message. It is like Blind Trust (Nance's nonfiction book about air safety) but in a very pleasant tasting pill. I hope that airline operators and passengers get the message. This experience is much more pleasant as a novel.

A great read with a strong message to the airlines
I have read all of John Nance's novels and several of his nonfiction books. This is my favorite novel by Nance.

Like all his novels I was unable to put it down. I have learned to set aside and entire day to reading one of his books. In this book Nance not only did his normal incredible job of making you feel like you are actually in the cockpit, but he also did a wonderful job of showing how bad some airlines are treating the flying public. Nance is an airline captain for a major airline and I applaud his clear descriptions of how badly the flying consumer is often treated. While this book is fiction it deals with a real problem - air rage. Air rage is a real and frightening problem that is only going to increase as the airlines continue to overcrowd us and hire poorly training personnel. In this exciting story Nance shows us a realistic portrayal of humans caught in a failing greedy corporate system.

As a human factors professional, private pilot, and a person that loves a good story based on facts I highly recommend this book.
