New Dimensions in Prayer
When I began reading the book, I thought "not another book on prayer." But Mr. Butterworth addresses this attitude early in the book and then takes you on a journey that allows you to erase old traditional thinking about prayer as begging God to do things to prayer as empowering communion and oneness with God. I highly recommend it to those who are seeking fresh insight into prayer and oneness.

Life is a Celebration
Religion, or, put it in other words, a living connection with God, have nothing to do with doom and gloom. It is not about repression of ourselves - it is about an expression of all the good things that God put in us. It is not about boredom of outworn dogmas and traditions - it is about discovering life as it is, in all of its beauty.

In this book, Eric Butterworth, one of the best Unity authors (he was called by someone a "modern-day Emerson"), shows to you some practical ways how you can turn your life into a celebration through using of the spiritual principles. Our life is what we make it through our choices, and this book will be for you a wonderful guide in making the right choices and developing the right attitudes, the ones that will make you truly happy.

Some of Eric Butterworth's writings were translated by me into the Russian language.

This was my first in depth journey into this field. Eric is very consistant in his concepts and choice of words. You understand consistant themes as he applies them to a variety of topics, enabling you to grasp the ideas on a variety of levels. And there is a very gentle, loving honor for our spirit. Quiet beautiful prayers.

A Metaphysical Look at the Ten Commandments
It has been several years since I read this book, but I remember the impact it had on my thinking. Eric Butterworth is a good writer, and he presents his viewpoints clearly and validly. This book does not take a typical, fundamentalist approach to the Ten Commandments, but rather examines their meanings through the eyes of a metaphysician. He explains that a lot of times, the "Thou shalt not"'s actually mean, "Thou CAN not..." Then he goes on to explain why. A die-hard literalist probably would not enjoy this book, but anyone who views the Bible as a work of parable and metaphor may find it enlightening.

A must for everyone interested in Prosperity and Metaphysics
SPIRITUAL ECONOMICS is a clear, concise book that gives the reader a full understanding of the concept of prosperity. The idea that substance is everywhere, that money is an idea, and that Prosperity is a mindset, bring the reader into the realm of possibility. Butterworth writes convincingly that we control our financial condition through our belief system. That poverty is a state of limitation brought on by limited beliefs, whicle prosperity is a state of freedom brought on by a belief in abundance. Easy to read and comprehend, this book is a must. A Great Introduction to Unity
Wherever you heard about Unity before or not, you will be blessed if you will acquaint yourself with this non-orthodox Christian movement. No matter what some critics say, it is far from being a cult. It is a way of thinking and a way of living - living positively and creatively. Unlike many other groups, it claims no absolute authority; require no allegiance to its founders or modern leaders. You can take from Unity whatever you want and as much as you want, and to be confident that it will be a blessing to you.

Unity re-discovered the practice of silent meditation long before it became popular in the Western world. Unity taught about the power of "positive thinking" long before it became popular through books of Norman Vincent Peale and Robert H. Schuller. Unity was a blessing to a modern religious thought in many ways, although it is not always admitted. However, I want to assure you that if you will take time to read its materials, especially the classical ones, your understanding of God and your own life will not be the same!

Personally, after I found Unity several years ago, I dedicated myself to making Unity materials available in the Russian language.

Up Thoughts for Down Moments, Erick Butterworth
This audio tape is very comprehensive on all aspects of life, put in words easy to understand and take in. I listen to the tapes in the car on my way to work (30 minutes each way) and find Eric Butterworth to set precisely the right tone for my day. He covers all of our possible Down Moments and shows us the Sunny Side to each situation and how to apply some very simple principles. This tape can make some great changes in our general outlook on life. I also have his "SPIRITUAL ECONOMICS" and try to apply his teachings to my life. He's a very spiritual and wise teacher. I want to get my hands on all of the tapes he put out. In closing - I love his phylosophies.

AWESOME!
This book reviews the lessons Jesus Christ came here to teach, however these lessons are disected and recast with the underlying philosophy that: *we are all the sons and daughters of God, *that we are invinsible beyond measure, *that the Kingdom of heaven is right here and now, and *that within us lies the power and divinity necessary to achieve any dream we can conceive of.

Written with PROFOUND clarity and deep insight, it blows away the prevailing beliefs held by "conventional" Christians over the past 2000 years by revealing that we live in a Universe where there is only love.

The entire book is INSPIRATIONAL, although the most exciting chapter is "The Miracle of Abundance".

Thank you Eric Butterworth for such a masterpiece!

Discover The Power Within You
Eric Butterworth's book Discover The Power Within You is fantastic! It lifts the veil of mystery from the spiritual experience. His message is simple and clearly stated, that if we will just excercise the power we all have in us by going within and communing with God, then we will no longer have discord in our lives. It is one of the most profound and moving books that I have ever read. I highly recommend it for anyone who is willing to take personal responsibility for their lives and wishes to co-create with God. Butterworth brings forth Jesus' beautiful message that we are all Gods (John 10:34) - not one more special or powerful than another. We need simply to WAKE UP! and recognize our own innate divinity.

THE TRUTH FINALLY REVEALED
ERIC BUTTERWORTHS BOOK IS A MUST READ FOR THE THINKING CATHOLIC WHO IS FRUSTRATED WITH THE DOGMATIC, DEGRADING ESTABLISHMENT CALLED THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH. THIS BOOK IS PROFOUND, WONDERFUL, EYE OPENING, MIND SHATTERING, WHATEVER THE TERM, THIS BOOK TEACHES WHAT JESUS REALLY FOUND, A DIVINITY WITHIN US ALL. THE CHRISTHOOD WE ARE ALL CAPABLE OF. IF YOU ARE A THINKING CATHOLIC FRUSTRATED WITH BAD HOMILIES, POOR EXPLANATIONS, DOGMAS THEN THIS IS A MUST READ. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND CHANGE YOUR LIFE. GOD BLESS AND WELCOME HOME!

True prosperity; The Expression Of The Within.
Covers the source of supply from the spiritual perspective. As such it covers the elimination of wrong ideas and attitudes and suggests ways to allow prosperity to appear in one's life. It is non materialistic in approach recognising that prosperity comes as a reaction to what is in an individual as first cause and is not determined by the world. It cautions against the use of mental tricks to attain an objective.

Emphasis is given on what attitudes, beliefs and techniques will bring about prosperity. Sound advice is given on the nature of life from the christian perspective, the importance of placing oneself in the flow of life where giving is more important than getting and the importance of the grateful heart in the recognition of the source of supply.

A good book that could be better. Some points are underdeveloped and that is a lapse in a book that is so opposite to the materialistic world view that supply is in the economy whereas the author's message is that it is within you.

An easy book to read containing thoughts to make you think. No difficult economics. Makes a lot of sense.

I just replaced my loaned out copy....
I loaned out my old copy and never got it back, so just bought a new copy....does that tell you how much I like this book?

I've read my share of prosperity books, and this one is at the top of my list with Howard Caesar's audio book, "All About Prosperity".

If you're looking for some get rich quick type book, well this isn't it. I imagine that's one reason why he gave it the name he did, instead of emphasizing prosperity in the title. It's about changing your thinking about finances, health, relationships, all facets of prosperity. If you believe that changing your thinking will change your life, that we can control our thoughts and by doing so improve our over all circumstances, you'll find this book extremely helpful. Eric Butterworth comes from a very spiritual, and yet very practical level. He challenges many ideas that you might have studied in other prosperity books. Without naming her, he does challenge some of the prosperity techniques taught by Catherine Ponders and others. This is not to say that you should read him instead of her. To completely understand prosperity thinking, you should read both perspectives and then be guided by those principles that seem right to you. If you are open to a new perspective, and not bound by a fixed and rigid mind, you will find a lot of helpful material here.

"Spiritual Economics" is an excellent summary of Natural Law
"Spiritual Economics" is based on the spiritual laws and dynamics of abundance. One of the key elements of this books that raise it above a lot of spiritual law type writings is how practical this book is. Eric Butterworth tackles some very complex dynamics in a very pragmatic, understandable way.

Eric's writings are based largely on the philosophy of the Unity Church (a Christian Church of a different ilk). If you have a strong mainstream Christian faith, you may find some of your current beliefs being challenged. I challenge you to meditate on those challenges and work your way through them, expanding and better understanding your faith positions. I'm currently on my second read of this book (the first read of the 230 pages only took a week!) and am amazed at how much more I'm getting out of it a second time.

One of the Quick Tips I mentioned in this issue of ACHIEVE is to ask yourself "How can I apply this to my life?". It was in reading this book that I discovered this question. To get maximum benefit out of this book, keep asking yourself this question. Integrate this material into your life and you will be amazed at how much more you can manifest.

Some of the main ideas I got out of the book are: * I am responsible for all manifestations in my life, i.e. everything. * As I evolve, so does my manifestation potential evolve. * I need to do what I can with what I have where I am to manifest my desires. * I need to build the demand before the supply will manifest. I need to have the containers in which to put the supply once it comes. I need to become the kind of person who experiences that which I want before I can truly achieve it. * If things are tight, something has to give. I need to give selflessly of myself to the Universe. I strongly urge you to go out TODAY and order this book.
