Watch a fox grow up - Great Photos!
See Red Fox Grow
Great photos showing a fox kit growing up starting as a newborn. Follow them when they are two weeks old, a month old, six weeks, two months and 12 weeks old. Informative story line for preschoolers. This series keeps the attention of little ones and you know they are learning something both as they look at the pictures and hear the story.
I recommend the other books in this series as well. Dorling Kindersley books original publisher of the series, now published by Scholastic, have wonderful details. Each page has a row of small sketches on the top and bottom of the page that show the fox at play at that particular stage, as well as a little photo of a fox on the spine.

Grow chick, grow!
The see how they grow series is yet another quality series put out by Dorling Kindersley (aka DK). Purchase them all if you can! Both children and adults will enjoy "watching" the chick grow. The last two pages are a pictorial summary of how the chick went from egg to eight week-old rooster.

Coddle your Cat is full of fun things to do with your cat!
Coddle your Cat is a fun way to make your cat purr with pleasure! I tryed massaging my cat, Jip and he rolled over on his stomach! I don't think he could help himself! Coddle your Cat also has easy-to-follow instructions- which make it so fun to read, along with the cute color photographs and crafts! There are even cat horoscopes! (My cat is "Gemini") Coddle your Cat is really fun!

Great Color Photographs!
This book is illustrated with LOTS of beautiful photographs of two spotted rabbits named Freckles and Dotty. It begins with their mother building a nest, and soon we see the first picture of the two rabbits as new-borns. As the babies grow, the illustrations follow, and we see them at eight days, thirteen days, three weeks (getting very cute), five and six weeks, and three thru seven months, when the bunnies have grow to adults and Freckles has her first litter of baby rabbits. The text is simple, and gives lots of information on rabbits, while telling the story of these rabbits in particular. This is a very enjoyable book.

Grow frog, grow!
The see how they grow series is yet another quality series put out by Dorling Kindersley (aka DK). Purchase them all if you can! Inspite of what the Horn Book review says, I found the presentation to be attractive and appropriate for younger children. The last two pages are a pictorial summary of how the frog grew from egg to tadpole to one year-old frog.

A must for cat lovers!
Do you love cats and find kittens to be adorable; then The Little Kitten Book (Little Library of Cats) by Elizabeth Martyn, David Taylor is a must have. This handy little guide presents all facets of owning a cat, e.g., do not hug a kitten to hard since their little bodies are fragile and if you want to spoil the baby then cook them some scrambled eggs. The pictures are ultra cute and the development from kitten to cat is fascinating. I certainly hope this book will come back into print since as I wrote earlier for a person who is crazy about cats then this is a must have!

great for our 12 month-old
Sturdy cardboard pages so he can't rip them. Simple, brief captions so he doesn't get bored. Nothing flashy, but a 12 month-old doesn't need anything too fancy.

touch and feel kitten
this is a good book if u have young childeren about 1-2 years young.it is very interactive and will teach your kidswhat a cat feels like, and its tounge, its tags, fur, food bowl, and a straw basket.
A definite favorite!
I bought this book for my daughter when she's nine months old. Now six weeks later she still smiles with delight everytime I take it out for her. Besides exploring the different textures, she's fascinated with the cutout on the cover that shows the kitten's fur. Although she likes her other books, normally she's too impatient to sit through reading a whole book, but this book I have to read to her two or three times before she would let me take it away. I will definitely buy other touch and feel series. I feel that they are a terrific introduction to get her to love books.
Both my daughter & I love this book!
When my 1 yr. 9 mo. old daughter first saw this book, she screamed in delight. She found the kittens gorgoues not to mention the "touch parts" very interesting. I, myself, have to admit that I only discovered how rough a cat's tough is after reading the book with my daughter.
I am eagerly anticipating for the other touch & feel books ordered through the Net.
