California Landlord Law Book: Rights & Responsibilities
Hardcopy book is excellent and a must especially for people with only one or two properties. I would expect that most professional landlords would know most of the information.

Guides you through the process
When we moved to a new home, we decided not to sell our old one but rent it out instead. However, we've heard a lot of nightmare stories about being a landlord, so the idea was pretty scary even though it makes sense for the long-term financially. This book gives you great advice and even examples of doing things the right way and the wrong way. I certainly had a lot of misconceptions about what was legal and what was not, and I think it would even be helpful even if one decided to hire a property management service just to understand liabilities. After reading this book, I feel comfortable that we've done everything in a legally correct way, and that we did a good job of screening our tenants. The forms provided give you everything you need to start renting out a place.

Excellent
I bought several landlord's rights books and found that this book was really helpful and easy to understand. I highly recommend this book if you're a landlord in need of legal advice to protect your property.

INDISPENSABLE!
This is a major component of my landlord/property manager library. I was not surprised to find, when I purchased this recent updated edition, that it is even better! (I noticed more excerpts of code.) Nolo Press has a deserved reputation for offering excellent legal guides for the lay person

Very Helpful
This is a great book for those who are beginning to experiment with literature circles in the classroom. From start to finish this book gives ideal situations, practices and real examples. It also recognizes that literature circles often have many problems and frustrations and walks the reader through scenarios step by step. There are mini strategy lessons as well as reproducibles that are very helpful. I love this book and have already recommended it to many of my colleagues.

Very helpful, says my daughters teacher
First, I am one the authors' sisters. That said, these are the comments made by my daughter's teacher after getting this book as a gift.

"Where did you find out about this book? It is great, I love it."

I got to read bits of it as it was being written, and have since read the whole thing. It is helpful in assisting students to read to comprehend books, rather than just reading to write a book report or fill in the blank type tests.

Great for beginning homesteaders
This book combines the humorous as well as the practicle side of homesteading. Janet Chadwick tells about the aspects of what it took for her and her family to be self sufficient in their daily lives. She covers the small homestead garden, raising of animals and even throws in some crafts and wine recipees. This book will tell the necessary equipment needed as well as what to raise and grow for a family who wishes to embark on the adventure of living off their homesteads instead of depending on the conveince of modern soceity. She covers some of the things that can go wrong, with sometime humorous results. I feel this book is a must for anyone wishing to supply their own living and to live well doing it.

The Summer camp of Doom!
The Summer Camp of Doom!
By: R. A. Montgomery
By Ryan Alkire
Period 1

Wow! That was a great book I just finished reading, it's called Nightmare at camp Pine Tree Lake and I guarantee you will think it's a great book to. So read it unless you're too scared to read this frightful choose your own nightmare story.

It's a Mysterious Horror and you (Your self) are the main character. You go to your favorite summer camp this summer. It's called Pine Tree Lake. Last year you had a ton of fun with Joel one of counselors who everyone enjoyed being around. But this year he hasn't been seen yet and you are worried. Some say he's lost in the woods and can't find a way back. Some say he was eaten by a hungry animal. Some say he just quit being a counselor but you know that's lie because Joel loved being a counselor, the way he told stories at the night camp fires and the way he would always want to go on hikes, paddle around the lake in a canoe. And you could always tell that was happy at camp. You get suspicious when you see Joel's bag on the cabin floor so you wonder, and you are motivated to find your friend Joel where ever he is.

Your best friend Lisa who is also at the camp is going to help you find Joel. One of the counselors said Joel took off in a canoe and never came back, but he forbids you to go. Late one night you and Lisa sneak off in a canoe and along the way you see an island with a broken down canoe lying on the shore. But would it be safe to investigate what would you do, after all this is a "choose your own nightmare" story. Be careful it's very dangerous out there.

Will they find Joel or will they die trying? It's really your decision how this story ends. Don't miss out on this fun filled nightmare book. "Nightmare at camp Pine Tree Lake."

This sets astanderd for american lit.
I have read this book so many times, my copy is in four parts. This is a great book that anyone, and everyone should read. It is so endearing and loveable. You laugh, cry, and by the time the book is over your in love with the characters. Then you cry again because it's over. But not to fear! Then you can read Little Men, and Jo's Boys - though they're not quite as good. I really can't express how much i love this book - it is my absolute favorite, and that's saying a lot!

A story for all Sansei!
I loved, loved, loved this book. It really captured what it was like for me, a third generation Japanese American, growing up with "Ba-chan" who didn't speak much English. I was amazed at the way this simple story could make me feel so choked up and miss my own grandmother who died over 15 years ago. Please get the author to write more books like this one. I bought copies for all my grandchildren and all my friends' grandkids, too. It's a beautiful book--very Japanese American.

Every Landlord's Legal Guide: Leases & Rental Agreements, Deposits, Rent Rules, Liability, Discrimination, Repairs & Maintenance, Privacy, Property Managers, Problem Tenants (Serial)

No Landlord Should Be Without This Guide!
This book is fantastic for the experienced, as well as the inexperienced landlord. It sets out in plain English some of the common legal pitfalls landlords run into and how to avoid them. The books cites examples - some quite frightening - of how these pitfalls occur and the appropriate action to take. The book clearly outlines the differences in particular laws between the states. It explains all aspects of landlord law from finding goods tenants to dismissing bad tenants. The book makes a great desk reference and it's cheaper than a lawyer!

Indispensable
If you can only purchase one book about rental properties, get this one! It is well-written, well-organized, and worth the price. I purchased this book at a point of peak frustration after making some costly and discouraging rental mistakes. This book has been immensely helpful in turning things around for me; it has saved me time, money, and headaches.

As a beginning landlord, I cannot recommend this book highly enough!!

Landlords best friend
If one is a landlord and one thinks that knows everything. Well, be ready for a surprise. In this book in question, i.e., Every Landlord's Legal Guide (Book & CD-ROM) by Marcia Stewart, et al, leases & rental agreements are discussed and explained along with concept and rules governing deposits, rent rules, liability, discrimination, repairs and maintanance, privacy, property managers and evictions. The book is written in an easy to understand manner and the font is quite easy on the eye (which is a nice bonus if I may say so). Highly Recommended for people in the industry.
