WHEN MY MOTHER GAVE ME THIS COOKBOOK FOR X-MAS MANY YEARS AGO I WAS RATHER INSULTED! IT LOOKS LIKE A COOKBOOK FOR BEGINNING COOKS - I HAVE BEEN COOKING SINCE THE 3RD GRADE AND CONSIDER MY COOKING TO BE PRETTY GOOD BY NOW. ANYWAY IT IS MY FAVORITE COOKBOOK OUT OF MY COLLECTION OF ABOUT 60 BOOKS. TRY IT!!

Mooses Come Walking is such a fun book. It is a perfect bedtime story for young children because the pages are very colorful and the illustrations are very striking. Kids will be engrossed by the pictures, and the cute story is a fun little lullaby.

Brock is one of those cool children's poems that sticks in your mind and can be recited over and over again without losing the good feeling it gives your head and your mouth. It is less forced than most of the Dr.Seuss poetry. And besides being a silly piece of Arlo poetry, the short, simple story has a message: be honored if wild animals come to see you and you get to see them. When you need a short, fun, bedtime or anytime book, read this one to your kids.

This book is an amusing little look into the night life of the wild animals in Massachusetts as seen through the eyes of folk singer, Arlo Guthrie. I've heard him tell the story live at some of his concerts and was pleasantly surprised when I found the story in print, especially when I discovered that the illustrations for the book were done by alice of the famous song "alice's resturant". The book is great for a bedtime story for little kids, but also serves as amusment for adults.

This isn't your run of the mill "how to have fun abusing an animal" book. Those aren't particularly funny. This is flat-out intelligent humor. It doesn't matter if you love or hate cats (I happen to love them). There's not a wasted word or page or illustration. Cats and cat people are easy targets, but this is miles above anything like it. And it doesn't take itself or the subject matter so seriously. Subtle genius.

LIKE ALL THINGS BRIGHT AND FUNNY, THIS HILARIOUS BOOK MUST BE SHARED WITH LOVED ONES AND STRANGERS ALIKE. ANYONE WHO DOESN'T LAUGH UNTIL THEY GASP FOR BREATH MUST BE DEAD === OR A CAT. A HUMOROUS TRIUMPH.

I haven't laughed so hard in years. This book will tickle you down to your toes! The pictures and text are a delight, and had to have been written by a true cat lover, who else would appreciate the absurdity of the concept of massaging a cat! Read this book and laugh, it is well worth it!
