Great, honest, funny and brave memoir
This book is not at all what I expected when I first got it. I thought it would be the story of the daughter of a famous father, a rather superficial autobiography. It's actually the story of Rosemary Breslin's serious blood disorder. She tells her story in a funny, brave way, but she deals with a serious, rare and chronic blood disorder that affects every aspect of her life. This story of major illness and how it affects the life of even those with great privilege is a fabulous read. Often funny and mostly unsentimental, we read of how love can continue despite the life changing illness she deals with. I really love this book and I hope more people get the chance to read it. It really puts our own petty problems in perspective. It's a fast and easy read and it ends far too early for my taste. I'd like to know how Rosemary is doing now, if her health has improved, what her latest writing project is.

Not Exactly What I Had In Mind
This book has stuck with me for so long...Rosemarys courage, humor and determination are inspiring! I would love to know if she is ok today and if she is or has written anything else?
Loved It!!
After having been sick myself and close to death from an illness, I could relate from my own perspective. It is such a touching love story that I enjoyed every minute of how she was ready to give up on finding love and found what she was looking for. Her story of how through all she and her boyfriend who turned out to be her Mr Right went through, they stuck by each other with bonds of love by choice. I had hoped she would write a sequel but I haven't been able to find anything else by her. I would certainly be interested in any of her future books.
Wonderful
This a terrific book written by a courageous and talented writer. Those who point out how spoiled Rosemary Breslin is are missing the point. Rosemary Breslin is explaining how she changed and grew, in spite of, and perhaps because of her illness. The other thing that changed Breslin was her devoted husband, who taught her the meaning of unconditional love. This is a book I will remember for a long time. I hope Ms. Breslin writes many more.
