For many people who have difficulty remembering what they read in History, this book is designed to help the reader review as they read. Placing the questions in the text (rather than at the end of the chapter) keeps the reader involved, not just in reading but also in learning. The information is easy to read and easy to review. There is an excellent teachers manual with additional assignments and tests available. It would be appropriate for average 6th through 8th grade history students and remedial high school history. Unfortunately, the last edition was in 1986, which makes it rather out of date and difficult to order.
