My 2 year old's favorite book
I bought this book when my middle child was 16 months old, and by the time he was 2 it was worn out. I had to buy a new one when the next child came along, and it's worn out too. The illustrations are delightful, and my children had endless fun pointing to and naming all the items in the margins of the pages. What a wonderful way to boost a child's vocabulary! Truly a MUST HAVE for kids 16months to 3 years.

This Little Baby
The rhyming text, and wonderful pictures make this book a treasure; it was one of my son's favorites. The pictures in the margins of the book made it enjoyable even when he was too young to follow the story, because he could point-to and eventually name all of the items. I love that this baby is home with his father during the day, and mom comes home in the evening. Our family, like so many others today, uses a tag-team patenting system (I work days, my husband works nights), so this is true to life for our children. I highly recommend this for children up to 3 or 3 1/2 years old.

This book is a delight for babies and toddlers
There is no better review than the smile on my one-year old's face when she sees this book. The adorable pictures of familiar items are a wonderful vocabulary builder. I finally found it in Amazon.uk after trying to trace it here for a long time.

Dilly the Dinosaur

I enjoy reading Dilly Dinosaur stories to students.
I love Dilly stories. The students just love that power scream of his. They hold their ears when I yell out Dilly's scream. I created a Dilly puppet which the kids get to hold while I read. It has a moving mouth. I even created a Dilly Puppet Theater out of a refrigerator box. I want to get as many Dilly stories as I can. I have 'Dilly Dinosaur' and 'Dilly Goes To The Dentist'. This little guy should be a video. There are a few sketches scattered here and there, but these stories are so vivid in their minds as I read them, they don't even ask to see any pictures. I just think he is a bundle of orneriness. He's your human, devilish, little boy. He has the temper tantrums the kids can relate to. I just love Dilly. Does anyone have any of the other Dilly Dinosaur stories? They are out of print. I've been reading these 2 books for the last 5 years.

Great Snuggle Time Book
Reading to children at bedtime is a great habit. We read one book at bedtime every night and this book is on my two years old's favorites list. The pictures are detailed enough to provide lots to talk about; however, the colors and illustrations are soft enough so they don't overstimulate your child a bedtime. The story follows the cat family through a busy day, including a trip to the park to feed the ducks, a stop by the toy store and home for bath and bedtime. Reading this book really gives you a warm feeling and is a great way to end the day.

Really cute!
This book is amazing for kids 5-105. Insightfully charming, and very humorous, it captures the reader's attention from page one. It may be a simple book, but it sure is charming. And it's great for people with high goals - 'cos if Michael can do it - you know that your dreams isn't necessarily that tough to achieve.

Excellent story: a mixed race family without a "race" focus
A lovely book that depicts a normal day of a little girl who is at home in bed with the flu. Her family just happens to be mixed race and this is portrayed normally with no focus on race at all. This book is a favourite of my children: the little girl in the story who is not feeling well keeps thinking that the footsteps she is hearing, are those of her mother returning home. The great anticipation that all children feel when waiting for a parent's arrival will make this book a favorite of children everywhere.

The baby's bumper book

One of the fondest memories from my childhood. A jewel.
This lovely, over-sized book is filled with best-loved stories and nursery rhymes. It's accompanying illustrations "snap" out at the reader due to the glossy parchment paper and the brilliant colors used by the artist. One feels as if you could reach out and touch the subjects of the illustrations. Any child would be mesmerized by this classic.

A Childhood Jewel
The Bumper Book was one of my childhood jewels. I had it for my children and now want a copy for my grandkids. Somewhere among numerous moves over the years our copy disappeared. When I can find another copy I plan to add it to the "must haves" for my grandsons' library.

Revenge at Ryan's Reef
I am in second grade and I choose this book for a book report. I really enjoyed this book because I like pirate's story. The story is about a little boy with a big heart living on a good pirate ship with his family. In the story he wants to help raise money for his granny who lives in a Retirement home for old pirates. The tresures he finds to help her are stolen and he goes after the thiefs to get them back. Happy ending.

Daddy's Lullaby

Send this book back to the 50s
This book is without a doubt the most disappointing online buy I have ever made as the story is devoid of entertainment value, and serves only to reinforce gender stereotypes. It comes across as smarmy, reactionary, and astonishingly clichéd.

The drawings are artfully done in a sort of pastelled version of Norman Rockwell fused with Illustrated Bible. As a 21st century dad I felt insulted reading this and can only recommend any existing owners to send this book straight back to the 1950s where it belongs.

beautiful book
This book is beautifully illustrated and well written. In our house Daddy often comes home late and never forgets to give love to the baby and our pets. My older daughter and I chose this book at the bookstore because it is just like daddy. We enjoy reading it together and think you will too.

A gentle tale and perfect for bedtime reading
Gently written by Tony Bradman, Daddy's Lullaby is a truly beautiful picturebook story of a father who comes home to a sleeping house - except for the youngest member of the family. So he takes the baby in his arms in a stroll about their home. Warm, touching, and featuring soft, impressionistic full-color artwork by Jason Cockcroft, Daddy's Lullaby is a gentle tale and perfect for bedtime reading to very young children.
