A Hauntingly Wonderful Book By Karleen Bradford
"The Haunting At Cliff House" by Karleen Bradford is a wonderfully written story about the relationship between a father and a daughter.

The story is set in the heart of Wales in a house which Mr.Evans (The father) and Alison (the daughter) inherited from a Great-Aunt. This house has a spirit trapped in time haunting it. Alison sees visions of the ghosts (Bronwen) life and is directed to an old diary. This diary holds the keys to why Bronwen is trapped. Throughout the story Alison seems to be going through the exactly the same situations as the Bronwen did in 1810. Alison soon realizes what has happened to Bronwen and helps her change the past.

Throughout this plot Alison is going through tough times herself. Her mother has long since passed away and her father has found a new woman (Meiriona) who he has taken a liking to. Alison feels her territory has been invaded by Meiriona and will ruin her tight knit relationship with her father. In helping Bronwen out with her problem, Alison discovers that she can make room, she doesn't own her father, and that everyone including her father has the right to be happy.

I recommend this story to anyone who likes mystery, suspense, sentiment, and a touch of the supernatural. Karleen Bradford once again accomplishes a perfect score.

Dragonfire is incredible!!!!
The novel Dragonfire written by Karleen Bradford is one of my favourite books! Bradford describes her characters in a way that makes them seem so real. In this novel fantasy was combined with adventure, and even though I never thought of fantasy as something I would enjoy, this book was way more than I expected! The mythical characters and conflicts became real to me and I couldn't put the book down. Dahl faces many problems, as he grows up learning that he is really the King of Taun, a kingdom that has been over taken by the evil Usurper. As Dahl tries to save his kingdom he discovers the true meaning of friendship, and realizes that the future of his people depends on him. The ending of this novel surprised me in a pleasant way and I couldn't wait to read the sequel. Over all this was a great book of good winning over evil. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Great Book For Crusades
I read this book for Social Studies at my school since we are learning about the Middle Ages. It is a great example of the Crusades but also has a great plot. I recomend it for anyone.

Intrigueing and captivating
"There Will Be Wolves" is a very intrigueing and captivating story. The story takes several different turns that were unexpected. Ms. Bradford has a way of drawing the reader into the pages of time very well. I felt as if I got to know Ursula, her father, Bruno, Elizabeth, Samson the dog, etc. This book also grabbed my attention in the fact of its' setting in 1096 during the Crusades. It has caused me to go into further study of the true Crusades and thus educate myself further. Thank you Ms. Bradford for the good and quick read. I look forward to possibly reading more from this author.

There Will Be Wolves
I think this book was very good! Everybody should read it! Everybody thinks that Ursula is a witch! She has to go on a crusade to save herself!

A Very great book for teenagers.
I feel that thirteenth child was a very good book. It shows you that even if you do suspect something, you should know for sure before you blame that person. I recommend this book to anybody. It created a lot of suspense. The book always made me want to read the next chapter!

The best teenage book I have ever read
This story is set fairly recently and is pretty convincing. The autors betrayal and description of the setting and background is very well laid out. It reminds me of an old run down sort of petrol station on the Nullabor. There are a lot of different conflicts and problems that arise throughout the novel. This is fairly important as you have to pay attention to what goes on with every page.

The main plot is pretty basic. Sixteen year old Kate has to live with an alcoholic father who owns a petrol station and is quite abusive to her and more so, her mother. A new guy Mike comes to town and at the same time a spate of robberies happen and even a murder, and Kate then starts to place together the pieces in her mind to figure out if it was Mike, because when he first comes to town he tries to rob the petrol station and scare Kate with a knife. Instead of turning him in, she sees his need for attention, and decides to befriend him instead. Along with that, her mother decides to lay charges on her abusive father. The incidents occur pretty fluently and fit together. They are very well laid out and are fairly credible in one sense, but in another sense are a little far fetched.

The main character in this book is Kate. She is a writer, who is always writing stories with a character named Stephanie, and without realising it, retells events in her own life. She has a best friend called Barney, who did anything in his will to impress the most popular girl in school, Melanie. Then there's Mike who reveals a very interesting past more and more as the story goes on. And the other main characters are Kate's parents Angie and Steve. Steve, her abusive and alcoholic father, and Angie, her depressed and downhearted mother. They have a very strong relationship, even though neither of them show it until the end.

There didn't really appear to be any major theme, as a lot of different topics arose and evolved throughout the novel. There was ones of suspence, relationships of love, loyalty and honesty, and there is a strong message coming out to the reader about real life relationships. I could relate to the story as a person as it appeared fairly realistic to me.

Karleen Bradford used a lot of descriptive passages in her twisted tale. She described everything from the adrenalin rush Kate felt on Barneys motercycle , to her mothers matted hair in the morning. But I don't think it is just full description. It is, but it's not too much for it to start turning it into a detailed analysis of every single object.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story and I would recommend it to people of all ages. Thirteenth Child will grip readers from it's first page, to it's startling conclusion.

Great Book for teens
This book was an excellent book for teens. I think this book deserved more recognition as a good book than it recieved. It dealed with things that we don't often read much about, especially in the teen genre. It's definitly worth reading.

A disappointment after the first one
I read this book about two years ago, because I had loved There Will Be Wolves. While not exactly perfect in form (the plot seemed rather unlikely), the first book in the Crusades series was a great read. I was really disappointed after the second. The plot was ten times more exaggerated (Theo falling in love with Emma?), and it lacked the feeling that There Will Be Wolves had. While it was not a terrible book, if this is the direction the Crusades books are going in, I will not look at the third.

READ THIS BOOK IF YOU WANT TO READ A GOOD BOOK!
This book is one of the best books I have ever read! I bought just 2 months ago and must have read it over 40 times by now!! I can't wait until the third book of crusades comes out!! Keep up the great work Karleen Bradford!!
