To Gaze at Morrissey
It's lovely to look at pictures of Morrissey online, but the experience is enhanced ten-fold when holding the photographs in your hands. Much credit to Sterling for capturing Morrissey's essence.

Morrissey Shot rules!!!!!
This book is really great if you are somebody who is really into Morrissey--or even if you have just a slight interest. You get to see the hard work of touring the world which is normally kept behind the hard-to-reach gates of backstage.A great book for anyone with ANY interest in the world of Moz.

Flawless
After gazing at countless photographs of Morrissey, I still get that magical mysterious feeling whenever I see pictures of him. This book is definitely a must have. The world still won't listen.

An absolute atrocity this book is out of print
When I first read the back cover of this book I thought "great, another psychological yuppie book where the protagonist has a terrible vanity complex," But the plot of this book is absolutely nothing compared to the way it was written. Bracewell's prose and vocabulary are so fluid and encompassing that the actual events of the book actually take a backseat to his writing style. The plot itself isn't about anything important, really, just one man's life. Not even a life that extrordinary in itself. Why do we care, then? Because the way Bracewell describes it. This is a highly innovative and enjoyable book solely because we want to hear the incredible ways Bracewell describes the scenes, and the poetry he spins as he plays with the diologue. Even the most played-out circumstances and diologue such as discussing a love between two characters are displayed richly and incredibly. This style makes the book formost enjoyable, and he could write about anything at all, really, and make it seem that way. sadly, I must be in the minority thinking this original way of writing is a pleasure to read for this book has been out of print for a while.

Awakening
This is the story of a middle-aged man who works as a civil servant in Westminster, London. The story takes place during the course of one day. It is a story about how one man's illusions about his life and work unravel. It's a story about how we forget who we are and who we were were. I thought it was brilliantly written and very sad.

remixing for text
"Cobralingus" was my introduction to Noon's work...the processes he used to remix/process text are a bit "fuzzy" compared to the well documented algorithms used by the Oulipo writers...but his techniques yield some very nice pieces and have enticed me to check out his other work...

Words like music
Best for fans on Noon's who like him not only for Vurt, but for the way he likes to play with language and music. A bit pretentious at first, it may take a while to appreciate it's beauty. He challenges conventional notions of literture, but who hasn't? Luckily, he starts with an idea that is still original which seems to be based on his own desire to explore the bounds of language.

Words Like Music
This is an experiment...Cobralingus shows you behind the secret door where Noon recreates the modern novel. It is an instruction manual, a poetry book, an art book, a short story collection, and more all in one sleek designer package.

Remember, reading Jeff Noon makes you happy.

A money-hungry coming of age story of in Thatcher's Britain
I found this book to be a powerful, if perhaps unintentional, incitement of the excess of Thatcher era Britain. The characters were able to maintain one's attention, not by their pathos, but by the level of detail to which they and their actions were described. The feeling one was left with was not friendship or endearment or even like, but a deep and rather disturbing sense of intimacy. In some key ways, place and characterization, Bracewell's work is very reminiscent of another English author, Julian Barnes. Nevertheless, Bracewell seems not quite as confident in his style, as though he didn't feel entirely comfortable escaping from the conventions of his grammar teachers. All of that said, I considered "Divine Concepts of Physical Beauty" to be good enough that I gave 10 copies of it away as Christmas gifts the year that I read it
