If you sew at all you will probably find the first book too basic. This book is geared towards the more experienced seamstress. Both of the books use funny methods like tracing your clothing and adding seam allowances, but don't be too critical -- they work! I have made very cool pants from these books.
This book includes alot more information than the first because it has a much more professional and efficient layout. It includes very funky clothing, but the techniques are pretty timeless. A very entertaining book, with lots of photographs of Rosenberg and Weiner's fun hippy friends.
Includes patterns for overalls, wrap around pants skirts and shirts, normal pants and skirts and shirts, clothing from India (punjabi pants, cholis and saris), clown costumes, belly dancer costumes, raggedy ann costumes, quilts. This is quite the eclectic period piece and is well worth tracking down.
