Best of the "The Art Of" series!
I received this book as a birthday present last month. To say the least, I was overwhelmed with all the artwork in this book. I love it! The artwork and production animation is breathtaking! It's a really awesome book, I'd get it if I were you! You can't go wrong with "The Art of The Lion King"!!!

Wonderful graphics, including ones the public never sees
This book is one of the most exquisite things to come out of The Lion King. The graphics are beautiful. Most of the pictures are ones that are used for the storyboard and layout scenes. I reccommend it to anyone who loves The Lion King, or just Disney in general. Order with confidence - the book is worth much more than its price tag. It is also much more convient than the larger, more expensive version which I believe is no longer being produced.

Great book for animation art lovers.
This book is great if you like to see all the art work that was created during the development of the movie as well as the finished scenes. They show you a lot of the concept art that was used so that you get a sense of how ideas developed and gives you a glimpse behind the scenes. The book is mostly pictures with less explanatory text than you usually see in similar books. So it's mostly a book to look at as opposed to reading. It's great if you enjoy looking at animation art.

Heartwarming Story
This is a heartwarming story of the power of children to warm and open broken hearts. A good story to read to children every Christmas.

Christmas Miracle of Jonathan Toomey - the best book
This is a beautiful story. The author did a reading/slide show of this book at our school several years ago. When the lights came on, there wasn't a dry eye among the parents (and some of the kids)in attendance. I still get choked up when I read this to my children. Its truly a beautiful story. I've bought 6 copies through the years for friends & family when they have children. A must read at Christmas time.

Wonderful, heartwarming book!!!
I still read this book to my children every year and they are 14 & 18 years old. This is a wonderful book about the meaning of Christmas, and renewal of a human spirit. A widow with a small boy asks the town woodcarver to make a duplicate of the nativity set she had lost. Her little boy wants to watch the carver at work, and as he works, the little boy describes how each piece is supposed to look. From happy sheep, and a proud cow, to the important angel, smiling baby, and loving Mary, Thomas describes each of the figures, and the woodcarver captures the qualities. I have alump in my throat by the end every time I read it. You will cherish this book, I guarantee.

Simply the best
The best trading book I've ever read. This is not for the faint of heart or the trading beginner. There is a ton of info very well explained and you will need to re-read this several times to truly understand it. I recommend hand charting your own profiles everyday in a spreadsheet and then analyze what happens when the market opens in the value zone, out of the value zone but in yesterday's range, or completely outside of yesterday's range. Eventually you will be able to figure out what the current day will "look" after the day opens with remarkable accuracy. I was almost tempted not to review this publically, since this in my opinion is as close to a Holy Grail as you will get.

Very clear, very good.
The Market Profile has been around long enough for there to be quite a bit of information available for free, in books and in courses. I've read all I can on the web and after reading this book, the Market Profile is finally becoming clear. This book is helping me see how to watch what the other participants are doing based on what they are doing. I'm reducing my reliance on after-the-fact, price-based indicators. It's really a method of trading with the market, instead of following it and being late.

This Is A 'Must Own' If You Are Involved In The Market
I purchased this book in order to gain a better understanding of CBOT's 'Market Profile'. And the book certainly provides that. But it goes far beyond - this book also teaches you "read the plays" and does so in simple steps...taking you through novice, advanced beginner, competent, proficient, right up to expert trader. I gained an understanding of the importance of the opening call, what to watch for at the open, how to identify control and when it might be changing intraday, how to identify the extremes of the market, the types of auctions, what to look for at the close, day timeframe pattern recognition, evaluating institutional activity, knowing when to stay out of the market, and value area calculation. The information contained in the 'Directional Performance Relationship' table is worth the price of the book alone. The book is easy to read and understand..and the information contained within is quite unique.

No axes to grind
Very well thought out information. I find sometimes, alternative medcial practitioners have an "axe" to grind or an anti establishment bias. I found none of that in this book. This was based on logic, studies, and experience. I have suffered from a "root canal gone bad" for over a year before I discovered this information. All the doctors and dentists just shook their collective heads while I was being poisoned by an infected root canal tooth. Even after I had it removed, the problem continued. It had tranferred to my jaw and other areas of my jaw. Without this info, I do not know where I would be at this point. I am seeking the proper care and expect a great improvement.

Super informative, must read!
Drs. Kulacz and Levy paint a vivid, disheartening picture of medicine and dentistry today. They write in terms easy enough for any layperson to understand, but their technical abilities shine through. Drs. Kulacz and Levy are saving lives through the spread of information and their work. Everyone should read this book.

Dentistry's hidden health dangers
This book boldly explores the dangers of common dental procedures such as root canals that leave lingering infection in the jawbone and may cause a host of serious medical diseases. Clear explanation of the process as well as numerous old and new scientific references support the authors articulate description of this subject. The best book that I have read on dentistry. A must read for anyone that has had or is having dental work done!

Beehives, Barbecues, Fireplaces, and More
This book is a must have! I was on a waiting list for months. I was so determined to get this book that I even called the publisher, who just happened to be in my state. I was told that the book was currently not being printed, but that if I really wanted a copy I should go to Home Depot. I went to Home Depot and found the book. Man am I glad I went through the trouble! This book is full of beautiful ideas! Every project is thoroughly detailed, down to the material list. If you've ever dreamed of having an outdoor fireplace then this book is for you.!

Excellent guide for the Do-It-Yourselfer!
I was on the waiting list for this book for months before it was published and cannot say that I was let down at all.

The book has many pages of detailed pictures for outdoor beehive fireplaces, outdoor traditional fireplaces, barbeques and fire pits. The author also provides full and complete design plans that can be used to obtain building permits. It reviews the construction process and the masonry diagrams in laman's terms so they can be easily followed. Each project also has step by step instructions.

I have not come across another book that is as comprehensive as this for building outdoor entertaining structures. I would highly recommend this book to anyone!

The Author Is At His Best With This Book
"The Case of the Buried Treasure" is definitely one of the best books in the Jigsaw Jones series by James Preller. My six-year-old son was spellbound as I read it to him. I have to admit that I enjoyed the story as much as he did. The book has a generous mix of humor, suspense, clever phrases and good values. What more could a parent ask for in a book? (I really want the author to know how much I appreciate the good values - particularly the way the book portrays telling a lie as wrong and not something funny to do whenever convenient which I've seen in other children's books.) The story has many twists and turns and is so well-written! The character development is excellent, and we feel like we know each of the kids in Room 201. We have read most of the books in this series, and hope the author will continue writing many more Jigsaw Jones books for us to read.

Jigsaw Super Special #1
Of all of the Jigsaw Jones books that I have read - I haven't read them all as of yet, but between my two boys, we're fast approaching that goal - I like this one the best. My boys both loved it, too.
I coordinate a book club for the 2nd grade at our local school. The kids love Jigsaw Jones and have been requesting one on our reading list. I've assigned it as our next book club reading book. I think that this one is special.

Excellent! Especially when read aloud.
I read this to my daughter, Rachel, and she really enjoyed it. She smiled throughout the entire book. She loved the animal folktales about Bruh Rabbit, and Bruh Fox. She trembled with delight at the reading of the scary tales. As for her mother, my favorite was the title tale, The People Could Fly. It was magical!

This book is a must have!!
I read this book as a child. The lessons that I learned from it have lasted well into my young adult, I am now 23 years old. The illustrations are first rate. This book should be a literary standard for all children books. Anyone with a child needs to have this in their children's personal library.

A Must-have for every American home
Fascinating folktales from an African-American perspective, this work evokes memories of the strength of a people to find magic, wonder, and spirituality in a time when oppression was the norm. Miss Hamilton, along with illustrators Leo and Diane Dillon, has produced a work of timeless importance. One of the few books that I can't keep on the shelves of my classroom, it is an essential for every teacher or person interested in exposing children to a wealth of literature.

A Must For All Mystery Fans
I would like to write areview of a book called The Case of the Missing Hamster. I like to read all kinds of mystery books. This is a book from the series Jigsaw Jones. I liked it because it talked about ways to figure out things. For one, a girl uses her senses because she was allergic to animal fur. I recommend the book to mystery fans. The series includes The Case of The Runaway Dog, The Case of the Secret Valentine, The Case of The Missing Hamster, The Case of The Christmas Snowman, The Case of the Spooky Sleepover, The case of the Stolen Baseball Cards, The case of the Mummy Mystery, and coming soon, The case of the Great Sled Race. Go to your local library and check out one of these books!

One of the best books ever!
I think this book is one of the best books in the world. It's probably my favorite of the first three Jigsaw Jones books. I like Jigsaw Jones because he's funny. He's the best detective in second grade. I'm going to be in second grade, too and it's fun reading about kids my age. I think other kids my age would like these books!

The Case of Hermie the Missing Hamster
I would like to commend the author on this book. My 8 yr. old son loves this one. It especially hit home for him because he has big ears. He gets teased all the time and so he feel in love with the character " Wingnut " . Thank you for helping my son feel special. I would love to see the character " Wingnut " used in more of these Jigsaw Jones books.

Read African Child and Radience Of The King together
Fascinating. A young foreigner in Paris, a young foreigner in Camara Laye's African Kingdom. It doesen't get any better. Read these 20 years ago.

George Pope

beautiful
A beautifully textured, fluid and organic autobiography, Camara Laye offers readers a piece of his life in The Dark Child. As part of the Malinke community in Upper Guinea, Laye captures the layered tradition and culture of his community, deemed, perhaps by most, to be simplistic or primitive compared to today's modern standards. Yet it is exactly from Layes descriptions of the traditions of his community that we can begin to understand the psychology of the author. Each chapter is rich with imagery, and his words smack of sincerity and innocence, bringing about an effortless quality and flow to his work--it is as if we are there with Laye experiencing his many transitions, from boyhood to manhood. His descriptions of the communal lifestyle of his people is remarkable. Laye's works like other modern African authors reveal the realities of colonization, and help readers to appreciate and celebrate indigenous African traditions.

It took me a long time to read this book.
I first got this book in junior high by a family friend but never bothered to read it until I entered high school. Not having anything to read, I took it upon myself to read the book. I found myself intrigued by the author's way of life during colonialism and his upbringing in a village and his graduation from high school. It was sad that one of his classmates died unexpectedly. Wanting to find out some more about this author I looked up a book of African authors. Unfortuately he passed away in 1980. He is a great writer and wished that I had read it soon as it was given to me.
