This is the best book that I have ever read. I have owned 2 copies of Song of The Wolf and I have worn them out. I know that I have read it at least 12 times and will continue to read this book many more times. I really identify with Medicine Wolf. Thank you Rosanne for the adventure!

I absolutely love this book, story line, and the characters! It is a book I enjoy reading over and over. I have recommended it to friends, twice I have loned out my copy and I did not get either book back. I am buying my third copy and believe me I will not be loneing it out to anyone again..:)

I read this book about a year ago. I have read quite a few books by this author and many of them remain "keepers" with me. This book I definitely recommend but be aware that you need to keep a supply of Kleenex nearby.

This book absolutely consumed me from front to back. Unfortunately, it being just the 1st in a series, I am going crazy waiting for the second one to arrive, and knowing I will have to read the whole series, I dread knowing there will be a last one. I can not stop thinking about Abbey and Zeke since I finished this book. I just don't want to believe they don't really exist. What a great book!!

I bought Sweet Prairie Passion 6 years ago and it's still one of my all time favorites. The entire Savage Destiny series is a classic. The story of Zeke and Abby will never grow old. If you
haven't read the entire Savage Destiny series, be sure that you do so because you wont want to miss out this great series!

I read this book years ago and fell in love with it. Abby and Zeke are two characters I will never forget. Their trials and love are brought out in this book wonderfully. Abby goes through some very hard times and you can just feel Zeke being pulled towards her even though he doesn't want to. When I finished all seven I felt like I was losing a good friend so I just started over again!! :)You will laugh and then cry and then laugh again. The series has a special place on my bookshelf where it will always stay. Thanks Ms. Bittner for a very special series.

My sister and an Amazon friend (Ambrangel) suggested this book to me months and months ago. Honestly, I was a very hesitant in buying this book 'cuz of the Frontier/Western setting, plus R. Bittner is new to me. From time to time, I do enjoy these kinds of settings, however, I've always preferred England/Scotland locations. Since I was too stingy to buy this book, my sister decided to lend me her copy for trial. In the end, I bought a copy for my own collection and a bunch more of R. Bittner's work. What a stubborn dolt I am, huh? I should have listened sooner!

I totally agree with the reviewer Ambrangel, from Attleboro, MA. This book is a rollercoaster ride of emotions. It's fast-phasing and filled with electrifying adventure. Lots of heart breaking circumstances yet oh so full of LOVE too. I have never read a book that's so tragic and yet so magical at the same time. The obstacles & sacrifices they've been through will ache your heart. Their faith and the power of their love will amaze you. Miranda and Jake's love for each other and their children will truly touch your heart and your soul. Indeed, OUTLAW HEARTS is unique! I've never read a book that spanned 20+ years of the hero/heroine's life story. From the time they've met, all the way to them being grandparents... No epilogue needed here! It's complete and utterly satisfying. Read this one (with tissue on hand, by the way) and you won't regret it.

I have been a Bittner fan for about 11 years now. She always writes with such feeling and tenderness that you don't find in the romance writing genre. She brings characters to life, and spans wide ranges of emotions with them. This book is no different. It's a heartwrenching story of an outlaw who wants and needs to start his life over, and he does it with the help of one very determined woman, Miranda. Miranda lost her husband in the Civil War, and lost her father in a rebel raid on their ranch. She meets Jake (the outlaw) by accident. He is haunted by a terrible past that is tearing his life apart. Miranda makes him see he is good inside and loves him no matter what. This story takes us through the Midwest, the Oregon Trail, Nevada desert, the valleys of California, and the boomtowns of Colorado in a span of over 20 years. It shows the hardships they endure and the heartbreak of Jake being a notorious outlaw. I cried on parts and smiled on some too. My heart felt like it was on a rollarcoaster ride. The emotions this love story evokes is incredible. I would love to see this book on the Big screen. I am sure it would be a blockbuster. This is well worth the money and reading time. I will read this over and over again.

Outlaw Hearts is my favorite book. I own a copy and have read it over and over throughout the years. The romance between the characters is so real I felt like knew them. I didn't want the book to end. This is a must read for all Roseanne Bittner fans.

Rosanne Bittner is the best author I've ever read, althoughthis book continues the story of Abbie and her heart break over losing Zeke,I feel Rosanne could have shortened the time poor Abbie had to wait to reunite with Zeke. But NO-ONE could do better. Grab your tissues, you"ll need them. All through this book I really missed Zeke. He became like part of my family, they all did. I've collected the entire series. I think you will to.

this was the best set of books i have ever read. when abby lost zeke in death i could almost feel her pain, after i read all seven books i felt like i had known them personaly and i hated to see their story end

Greetings from Singapore, it is where I am right now. I loved it!!! It was very touching and I cried on those "goodbye's scenes" the characters are all so real and I felt that I was part of it too. It was a beautiful ending for Abigail, I loved that woman so much courage and life in her. The reunion of two brothers, Wolf Blood and Jeremy touches my soul. I felt victory for Zeke and Georganne when they discovered the gold pot. Hawk made use of his knownledge and fought it out in the legal way was very satisfying to me. I love the ending saga of "Savage Destiny."

I've not read this book as of this time, but my anticipation is greatly increasing with each passing day. I have read the first 3 books in this series and I can hardley wait to read #4. I'm having a heck of a time getting my hands on this book. I'm unable to finish the series until I get #4, I'll just wait. Rosanne Bittner is one of the best authors of Indian Historicals that I've ever read.You'll fall in love with Abbey & Zeke, and you will never want to put the book down. Start @ book #1 and get hooked. I promise, you will get hooked.

i started reading this series from book one i never read, but from the first book i was hooked i can only imagine what it would be like to be abbie living in that time with the chyanne indians and i can only imagine what zeke looked like how he is described by rosanne bitner i felt every emotion that abbie had for her zeke, i need to own this book but i cannot find book 4 anywhere please reprint this book ... i must own all 7 books i want to read the whole series again.. please tell me where i can find book 4 thank you...

Embrace the Wild Land continues on the story of Abbie and Zeke. This story is another great one in the Savage Destiny series. The love betweeen Zeke and his Abbie-girl survives even though he is forced to go across the country to find his brother. I have never read a series as good as this one where every book is better than the last and I actually feel like I know the characters. When I put down the book I expect to walk out the door and see Abbie standing there with a gentle smile on her face as she watches her Zeke. I read the series for the first time last year and I have been readying myself to read it again. This time I've ordered the entire set because I just can't wait for the library to have them all at the same time, because I know once I start I won't finish until I've completed their story. Read Embrace the Wild Wind and read the whole series it is wonderful, fantastic, romantic, excellent! What else can I say? Mrs. Bittner has done her best.

This was one of the best romance novels that I have ever read.
Alot of action and heartbreak. I totally recommend this book to anyone who loves romance novels.

I just finished Wildest Dreams.This book kept me thinking long after I had read the last page.Like the reader above, I laughed and I cried. Roseanne Bittner has such a special way of bringing you along with her and making you feel the depth of the characters. Every character in this book is interesting.I can't wait to read the the Mystic Warriors series.I wish they would make this book into a movie.

I was so overwhelmed by this story that I was sorry to see it end!

Since then,the book has passed through many hands and everyone has said the samething, " What a great story!"

You fall into the adventure with these characters that you grow to love. You find yourself attached to the book and reading every chance you get! I laughed and cried and mourned the end of this wonderful adventure!

I have been a fan of Rosanne Bittner for years, and aside from her 7-book series, this is her best. You absoloutly CANNOT put it down. The way that she can weave a tale of love, triumph, and heartache are unmatched.

Rosanne Bittner is without a doubt the best Native American historical writer out there. I have read the whole savage destiny series and most of her other books. My mother-in-law turned me on to Mrs. Bittner and I can't put her books down now. When I started reading the savage destiny series, I was completely entrapped by the book and the people in it. I was constantly wanting to pick up the books and finish them. It is very hard to find a book where the character's touch you so much. Abby and Zeke were truly an inspirational couple. I love to read any book by Mrs. Bittner, but I don't think she can write them as fast as I read them!

I love the Savage Destiny series and this is no exception. Before I started, I wondered how a 400+ page book could cover 15 years or so, but Ms. Bittner did a wonderful job. I am so very glad she decided to write one more sequel and will be reading it soon. I'll hate to say goodbye to the Monroe family at the end of the next book, but all good things must come to an end. This has to be the best Indian series out there and certainly the best I have read. I look forward to reading all her other books, but none can compare to the saga of Zeke and his Abbie-girl and their family.

***** This is the best Historical Romance trilogy I have read in my life! Stop everything and read this book. It makes perfect sense if you have not read the first two (Mystic Dreamers and Mystic Vision); however, if read in order you will understand even more!

The author's main characters in this book are the same as the previous. They are Buffalo Dreamer, a Lakota holy woman, and Rising Eagle, her husband. Their children are now grown. Rising Eagle still did not know he had a son in the white world, from a previous captive, that was raised by Florence, whose Lakota name was Fall Leaf Woman. That son was William, a "blue coat" for the Whites.

Buffalo Dreamer had been told long ago that as long as the Lakota had the skin of the sacred white buffalo, all would be well. But white trappers stole it from her. Until it made its way back to her, all who owned it would have bad luck!

The author followed history as she wrote too! And as in real life, many battles are shown. I saw several characters from the previous books slain in battle or massacred during Army raids.

This book makes the reader see and feel all the love, hope, and pain that the brave people did in the past. Rosanne Bittner makes history come alive through her fiction! I cannot recommend this highly enough! *****

The cast including real persona like Crazy Horse and Sitting Bull. The fictionalized characters seem genuine as well which adds to the feel of observing a great people's struggle to survive. Ms. Bittner shows she is one of the genre's best as her audience will seek the previous two novels (MYSTIC DREAMERS and MYSTIC VISIONS).

I loved the book, haven't read the first one yet, but will look for it when I go to a used-book store, since it is out of stock on amazon.com. Has another book been written after this, maybe about Ken and Jenny's story? The way Texas Passions ended, there is always hope for another one to follow. I feel I would have done for the bad guys exactly like John & Tess did, she certainly did her part to rescue her babies.

Once again Rosanne Bittner has created a excellant read that you can't put down. For those who haven't read the first book- Texas Embrace you'll want to read it when you finish this one (if not before). This is a great love story about John Hawkins & his wife Tess. But also it is about a parents great love for their children and what each is willing to endure for the other. It is a real tear-jerker (happy tears) along with heart stopping suspense and a good old fashion hero & heroine thrown in to melt your heartstrings. It will keep you up all night reading and then some. If you've never been a reader before, this book (or any of Ms. Bittner's writings) will make you a dedicated fan (of both the author & subject matter) for Life!!

When I purchased TEXAS PASSION, I did not know it was a sequel. It is the continuing story of ex-Texas Ranger John Hawkins and Tessa Reeves.
