You'd think it will be boring, don't you? That can't be further from the truth! This book is amazingly accurate, written only one year after the Apollo fire that caused the first American Space casualties. The facts are fresh and the reactions are vivid, time has not taken it's toll on the true story. Anyone interested in the Space Program will find this book a facinating read, and an invaluable part of any collection on the subject. It blends a fresh history of the space program up to 1968, and deep in-deph technical aspects of the tragic fire. I would recomend this book to anyone with the slightest interest in space travel. This THE best book writen about the Apollo 1 fire. I would recomend it to anyone, with no regard to prior knowledge of the early space program. Despite it's historical context, this book is quite interesting, I find myself returning to it again and again, and never become board with it's amazing story.
