Delightful for children--and adults!
The artwork lured me to this book. Each page has a marvelous rendition of a sea turtle's nesting saga. The storytelling is accurate but lyrical so even the youngest children will be captivated. I highly recommend it for parents and grandparents to give to the children they love--especially if you're headed for the beach!

Kudos from my Grandson
My grandson, Cameron Howard, has checked this book out from the library on numerous ocassions. Despite his generally responsible attitude toward returning books in a timely manner, he just can't get this book back when it's due. Why? Because he is busy reading and re-reading the book. He is captovated by the pictures. He is infactuated with the text and dazzled by the illustrations. He called me up to see if I could get him this book. This seven year old made sure I knew the exact spelling of the author's name and the illustrator's name! It's a hit among the 7 year old crowd!

Oh Mommy, Read it Again!
Is what our daughter exclaimed after we read her this book for the first time. The illustrations are Chris Van Allsburg (SP?) quality, the pace is just right for an attentive 3 to 4 year old. The frog keeps a steady moral high ground in both thought and deed while searching for the princess who is right for him. The end is quite a surprize, if only because of our preconceptions of the standard frog prince tale.

A Wonderful Book for Children and Adults Alike
I first read this book when I was in the Fourth Grade. I fell in love with its fantastic tales of bizzarre circumstances and extraordinary characters. It has, since then, been one of my favorite books. This book will revive the imaginations of anyone who chooses to read it.

A beautiful book to treasure!
Combine Bruce Coville, master of myth and fantasy, exquisite art, eleven magnificent stories, and a glorious poem, and what do you get? --An exceptional book, a treasure for those who love unicorns and fantasy. These unicorns are not the goody-goody, pink-bowed unicorns of some publications. These unicorns show depth of spirit, some are ugly, some fiery, some brave and gutsy. One of my favorites is the story by Kathryn Lay. This unicorn brings healing to a girl in a wheelchair, but not in the way you'd expect. I won't give away the ending. You'll have to the read the story for yourself. I highly recommend this amazing, wonderful book to all. You'll be uplifted and inspired.

"Glorious!"
This book was wonderful! When I read the introduction, I had tears in my eyes and it made me want to race outside and find a unicorn waiting for me. The unicorns starring in these stories are not all pretty and pink, but some are ugly, and some are horselike. If you read The Unicorn Chronicles, there is a story in this book called The Guardian of memory and it is part of the unicorn chronicles and is absolutely wonderful! The story Tearing Down the Unicorns was also very good. A girl started tearing down the pictures of her peaceful colorful unicorns off her wall for some reason that you will have to find out! I highly reccomend this book to anyone who loves unicorns and that when you finish reading it, if you believe with all your heart, then you will find "a glory of unicorns waiting to sweep you away!"

UNICORNS ROCK!
Before I read this book, I liked unicorns. Now, I LOVE them. This book is so awesome! I decided I'm going to memorize that poem and present it somewhere. I can't decide what story is my favorite. I loved all of them (except for Story Hour, that was weird.) I would highly reccomend this. Some of the stories are sad, especially "Beyond the Fringe". But very very good!

Just about perfect
My 2 year old son is in love with horses. He and his grandfather read about horses and ride horses together. He loves to have any bed time story as long as it has a horse in it. He loves the pictures even though some of the horses are hard to see and the pictures are light. This book is perfect for him. He loves the poetry and sing-song of the words. He and his grandpa will spend hours reading this book.

Just OK.....
This book was just OK. It is about a girl, Jennifer, who really wants a horse. All she ever wanted was a horse! She is dissapointed on her birthday when she only receives riding lessons and a china horse. Her china horse is special., Really Special. The china horse turns into a real horse, Moonseeker. How will Jennifer be able to hide Moonseeker?

A good story
I liked this book because I really like horses and I want one! It is an exciting story. The horse was stubborn and he talked.

A REALLY CUTE BOOK
I read this book maybe 4 or 5 years ago, and I don't remember a whole lot of the details, so I cannot give it a perfect 5. I do remember that it was a really cute book, with a good ending. I reccomend it, but for younger kids, seeing as it's short with easy vocabulary and big print. I was probably in 4th grade when I read it and I really enjoyed it, so I hope other young kids will read it and enjoy it as much as I did.:)
