Good things come in small packages!!
Note to parents - the physical size of this book is actually quite small, smaller than the routine "Spot" board books for example. It's fine for small hands, but in it's "new" condition, the pages need to be "broken in" to make reading easier. BUT don't let the small size of the book scare you off - small does not mean short. It's a good length with excellent pictures.

Aside from it's size, this book is a sure fire hit!! It features everyday situations on each page, with one picture being the opposite of the other e.g. Ernie is at the front of the line, Bert is at the back of the line.

Very cute and accesible review of opposites starring Ernie
If your toddler loves Sesame Street, they will love this little book. It is perfectly sized to slip into the Diaper bag. It features everyday situations in the bath, at the playground, or at home, so my 16 mo old son could follow along from the first read. Be aware there is not a single picture of Elmo. Its fine by us since my son is indifferent to Elmo but is a huge fan of Ernie who is featured on many pages with Bert, and Cookie shows up on several pages too.

great childrens book!
I have a one year old and this is one of the cutest books for that age. It is very durable and small. She gets excited because she has learned the words when you say up next you say down, when you say in next you say out. She gets very excited and takes it and runs off.

What a great childrens book!
I have looked for this book from my childhood for a very long time, and have finally found it here. I would spend hours and hours looking through this book as a kid, marvelling at all the different Troll stories. Beside all of the wonderful ilustrations, kids of all ages will be transported to a completely new world.

A Wonderful Children's Book
The Troll Book was such a wonderful book for me to read growing up. The colorful illustrations and the interesting stories truly spark the imagination. The book covers all aspects of the imaginary creatures so that even the most curious child is satisfied. This is truly a wonderful children's book

My son's first mystery!
This book introduced him to a love of mystery books and is the first Bear Scout book in his Berenstain Bear book collection. The Too Tall Gang and the Bear Scouts have a boat race. They never passed them, but the nasty gang won the race. How? In an underhanded way by using two boats and a short-cut trek through the woods to the finish line.It was fun reading this book 'slowly' trying to come up with different scenarios as to how the Too Tall Gang won the race without passing the Bear Scout boat. We were happy that one of our scenarios was close the the outcome. A discussion about fairness in competition and deception followed. It made great reading and great conversation with our book loving 6 year old. I highly recommend it.

Black Eye
While the story is intriguing, the author does very little to tie the ancient mysteries of Egyptian religion to the occult use of the "evil eye" in the Western historical paradigm. While the author dwells on Satanist metaphors and symbology (to a tiresome extent), he rarely gets around to expounding the rites of Horus. In short, the "evil eye" caricature is played to marketed audience who apparently is not expected to think about the eye of Horus or the shattering of the Antui. Berenstain's evil eye would be powerless against a princess of Isis.

Fantastic Book!
The authors of this book write very interesting stories. I have read many Berenstain Bears books before. All of them are very nice. The illustrations are cute.

The Case of the Missing Merit Badges
It's time again for the Bear Scouts to do some detective work, and this time they are at their wits' end trying to crack the case of the missing merit badges. Their prized possessions have gone missing and its up to them to stop the theft from going undetected. They picked up some clues and likely suspects along the way. When they were stumped, Dr Wise Old Owl, who sees everything, throws up a clue that leads them to solve the mystery.

My son was really delighted by this story and he gave a shot at being an armchair detective. Though he did not manage to uncover the identity of the thief, he was thrilled to bits in the process of making some really WILD guesses. This is definitely a good buy and worth every cent you pay for it.

Don't waste your money!
A very poor effort from the point of view of a child. There are many errors in the book that will be caught by a four-year-old. Examples, Mesosaurus (a non-dinosaur marine reptile) and Eryops (an amphibian!!) are classed as dinosaurs and my four-year-old found these and about 8 others immediately. This book does have a saving grace, though, you can use it to introduce the child to critical thinking skills.

Day of the Dinosaur
My 2 year old loves this book. He has memorized almost every word. And since it is written in prose, my 9 month old likes to listen to it also. There may be inaccuracies in this book, but it is a nice introduction to the dinosaurs.

This book is not a very good bokk but it is ok. Basically what happens is Ned gets lost and the scout cubs find him when he really wasn't lost at all. He just went to the haunted housse and waited for thre scouts to get there.
