When I first read this book several years ago, I was very skeptical about the gift of tongues and other physical manifestations of the presence of the Holy Spirit. This book taught me so much and answered so many questions I had about the Holy Spirit and his importance in a deeper relationship with God the Father and God the Son. I am most grateful for Dennis Bennett's ministry and the willingness he had to share it with us through his wonderful book.

If you know Jesus then this book is for you. It will change your life. It changed mine in 1982.

In this book you will find the best description of what the baptism of the Holy Spirit is about!! Includes also a biblical description of each gift of the Spirit and its application for today. In the last section you will find insights about how to walk in the Spirit. Since the very first time I read it 22 years ago, this book assisted me in my christian walking. I strongly recommend this book to every honest believer who is looking for the release of the power of the Holy Ghost in his/her life!!!

This book is a must read for all christians. It takes you from start to finish...everything you ever wanted to know about experiencing the Holy spirit in your life. What a great resource. The information and application of it is life changing!

This is an excellent book for anyone only recently introduced to the works of the Holy Spirit, or for the 'mature' Christian seeking a better understanding of how the Holy Spirit's gifts function in the church today. Written from the perspective of someone who started out totally ignorant of the Spirit and His work, the book takes nothing for granted and explains everything clearly and with Scriptural references. A book that I keep several copies on hand - to give to friends and new Christians seeking to understand gifts like tongues, words of wisdom and miracles. THE BEST introduction for those with no knowledge or past experience with the Holy Spirit that I have ever found.

I hate to write bad reviews, but this book is not correct in its explanation of the release of the Holy Spirit...the book is directed to the 'carnal Christian' who wants to 'fast food Christianity'.....I would NOT recommend this book to anyone seeking the Holy Spirit...if you are seeking the Holy Spirit, simply read the Scriptures...and focus your heart,mind,body and soul on Jesus Christ....after that the Gifts of the Spirit will flow out effortlessly...

There are many Christians who have misconceptions and fear about the Baptism in the Holy Spirit. This book answers every question with scripture and gives leaders and lay people tools to lead others to the power of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit. This book combined with the "Holy Spirit and You" and the Bible are the best resources available for those desiring to recieve. I thought they were so powerful that I have bought a large stock to just keep giving away to anyone who desires to experience the release of the Holy Spirit as God intended as the norm for all Christians. Mis-education and fear have kept main-line churches from receieving and using the gifts and tools that God intended for us to have. Dennis Bennet is a normal traditional Episcopalian priest who approaches the topic with clarity.

I read this book in one evening and received the Baptism in the Holy Spirit as soon as I put the book down. This is a must read for anyone seeking the Baptism in the Holy Spirit. Also a great teaching aid in helping others receive "release". Easy to read, and very down to earth. A must for every Pastors library.
