Very good book!
This was an amazing book! I loved it! It was well-written,kept you on the edge of your seat, and was very suspenseful. If you enjoy good books, read this! This book is a story about a girl named Darcy Deeton and her brother David. David is everything to Darcy. But when Jane comes into the storyas David's girlfriend, Darcy gets envious and things go downhill from there. At the end of the story Darcy and her friend, Sam, make friends forever.

The Best!!
searching for david's heart is one of the best books ever!! it had everything in it, from humor to romance to tragedy to just a story you could relate to on some level. i recommendthis book to everyone-no matter what age you are. after reading this book, you'll be crying because of all the emotions darcy feels. so don't forget a box of tissue when you start reading this! anyways, once you read this, you'll never be able to put it down! this book is the greatest ever!!!

The Greatest Series Ever!!!
I love all of Cherie Bennet's Sunset Series. In my opinion they are one of the most interesting teenage series published. I have been to book stores looking for sunset books and have found up to 20 books in the series. I would love to read them all! And I hope you can put a list of ALL the books in this series. Thanks.

A real tear-jerker
I have read all of the Sunset Island Books and this is definetly one of the best of the series. I cried during parts of it, especially towards the end. I couldn't believe they were all going away for the winter. But, definetly a very good book.

A Tear-Jerker
I have read all of the books in the series and they are the best. But Sunset Forever is the best it Shows that your best friends are people that you can depend on and that will be there for you always and forever.

Good, fun read
Though not a masterpiece of literature, Cherie Bennet's novel is definitely fun. It's hard to put down in some places, and oftentimes suspenseful. It's also humorous and has some interesting twists. Fortunately, it all ends happily. Great book, i highly reccommend it.

The Best Wedding
This book, I couldn't put it down. It was a little long, but it was worth it. The girls in this story were so very willing to help people. They were all very different, but alike in weird ways.

The Best Book Ever!!
Annie, Breezy, and Cassie are best friends and want to start a wedding business called ABC(that stands for Annie Breezy Cassie) Weddings. They run into five BIG problems. 1. Annie's brother and Breezy's sister are getting married. Annie's brother wants a small simple wedding, but Breezy's sister wants a big wedding. They almost elope but then decide to compromise and have a wedding that suits them both. 2. Annie and Cassie are in a huge fight about Annie and Breezy's siblings wedding. ABC Weddings is falling apart! What happens to Breezy when she is being torn between her two best friends? 3.Cassie has a HUGE crush on David Silver but he hardly even notices her. She has two bloopers in front of him, but they end up dancing at a party anyway. 4.Breezy's old sitter decides to get married. She used to be fun but now she is a failure as a model. She is marrying a really nice photographer and ABC Weddings wants to know why he wants to marry a snob like her, but then see the true side of the old fun girl. 5.Breezy(the animal lover)finds a stray dog but she can't keep him. He ends up with a HILARIOUS couple.

Cherie Bennett does a wonderful job of combining these five problems. If you are confused by what I have told you, read the book, The Wedding That Almost Wasn't.

Awsome, Sad
This book is about a girl, and Zebras, Becky, the girl, find out that she has Leukimia, a a form of cancer in the blood cell, its when you dont have enough white blood cells, the cells that fight grems, and when you dont have them even the slightest little cold could make you terribly sick. Well back to the book, I thought it was great, i'm not going to tell you much because you have to read it to really love and understand it. If the part about the zebras doesnt make scence, then read the book and find out.!!!!!!!! P.S rule #1 do what I say rule#2 read/do #1

Here is my command: READ THIS BOOK!!!!!

Zink
Sixth grader Becky Zaslow battles leukemia but her spirit is set free as she integrates all that has happenend in her life to create an imaginary parallel world. She has been studying Africa in school and while in the hospital befriends zebras who have arrived to provide comfort and inspiration. They, too, are fighting for their lives from predators, just as Becky is from leukemia. They teach her that she is not her body, but is her imagination, spirit, and feelings. Although the subject is at times painful, there is comic relief in the zebras humorous dialogue and behavior. The simple, expressive, and endearing illustrations were drawn by children who have been touched by cancer in some way. The luminous book jacket presents Becky and her inner world. Information about leukemia is provided in the afterword, and the prologue brings a sense of immediacy to the story by providing photos of children who have experienced cancer. A Swahili glossary is also included. The author has a very realistic take on the social scene of middle school, as well as family relationships, and is able to delve into the feelings of Becky to create a multilayered, compelling book of raw emotional honesty that is deeply moving and unforgettable.

This book is a must-read!
I love to read, and most of the books that I read, I like. But Zink popped out at me! I loved this book! It had sad times, happy times, and even funny times. It went through the hard times of a girl with cancer. Three zebras from Africa are sent to help her magically. She becomes friends with them, and begins to look forward to their visits. They make her happy in sad times, they make her forget that she's even getting a shot while they sing to her! I know, I know: You think it's going to be to fantasy!!! Well, when my friend told me about it- I thought that too! But somehow, it all fits together! I've read it 4 times, and usually each time in a couple days! It's a perfect book for ages 9-14! You must read this book!

A Must-Read Holocaust Novel For All Ages
The authors of ANNE FRANK AND ME have accomplished a phenomenal task. They have written a Holocaust novel that is deeply moving without being a depressing read. Like THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK itself, the ultimate message of Bennett & Gottesfeld's book is one of hope. Both books demonstrate that even in the midst of the most horrendous violations of human rights, good people still exist who can make a difference. Without trivializing the historical tragedy, both books paint three-dimensional portraits of real teenagers, just as concerned with fashion and dating as they are with whether they will live or die. This juxtaposition is refreshingly realistic. Nicole Burns is an average teenager, at times intolerant, boy-crazy, and uninterested in schoolwork. She, like most of the characters in this book, is not 100% good nor 100% evil. In a misguided effort to be politically correct, some authors of historical fiction make their characters sinners or saints, leaving the reader with the impression that she could never relate to these larger-than-life people. But teens will identify with Nicole. They will realize that the Holocaust happened to ordinary people like themselves, and that it could happen again. This story will hook even reluctant readers with its humor and up-to-date setting, including Nicole's own website. Nicole's time-travel to Paris in 1942 is believably handled. Events become gradually more intense, so that by the time Nicole is in real danger, readers who would not normally choose a "serious," "educational" book will keep reading to find out what happens next. You will cry. You will also smile. You will definitely think and learn. What more could you ask from a book?

A Holocaust Thriller
I couldn't put it down! I'e never read such a book. It may sound like nothing but a sermon, but it's nothing like that! I'm a sophomore in high school, and I know excitement when I see it. On a field trip to the Holocaust museum, some students open fire, and Nicole passes out as she's trampled by the crowd, waking up to find herself in Nazi occupied France in 1942. All the people from her real life (parents, sister, and schoolmates) are here, andthe boy she had a crush on is even madly in love with her. But Nicole soon learns the real meaning of life, and that boys and clothes hardly matter as much as family, safety, and even food enough to survive when she finds herself in a concentration camp... with Anne Frank.

MY FAVORITE BOOK EVER!!!
I have read so may books and this has to be the best I have read EVER!!!

Anne Frank and Me is based on the story of a girl named Nicole Burns. When Nicole is learning about the Holocaust, and Anne Frank, in school, she doubts the existence of Anne. Then, while on a class trip to a Holocaust exhibit in a local museum, bangs emerge from a nearby corridor. During the chaos, Nicole is separated from her friend, falls, and then everything goes black. She wakes up on a couch surrounded by her mother (who looks like her teacher), father (who looks just like her principal), and her sister (who looks just like her sister during current times). She also wakes up a Jewish teenager in the year 1942 in Paris, France. Her best friend is her best friend in 1942 and her crush is her boyfriend. She learns to adapt to this new lifestyle and, in a few months, forgets all about her life in 2000.
One night, while staying at a friend's (who is a Jewish girl not born in France) house, Nicole is taken, with the family she is staying the night with, by the Nazis who were collecting the foreign-born Jews and bringing them to Vel d'Hiv, a sports arena. Eventually her father comes to pick her up but, because he is a doctor, helps some of the sick people. A few years later, Nicole, her mother, and her sister find out that her father is a Resistance fighter. Soon after, Nicole and her family have to hide out in an attic. Then, late one night, a bomb exploded in a French police station, which had her friend's abd boyfriend's brother in there. Resistance fighters had set off the bomb. In the midst of all this chaos, Nicole father is injured and dies, her boyfriend and friend both die, and Nicole and her sister are separated from her mother and sent to Drancy, a concentration camp. On the train on the way to Drancy, she meets the real Anne Frank. The two girls talk for a while before Anne asks what happens to her, to which Nicole replies, "You will become a famous author and break a million hearts." Once they arrive at Drancy... well I can't give the ending away but she goes back to current times. READ THIS BOOK! You can even write to the author via email because she leaves her email address.

An excellent book!!!
Throughtout my llife I have read a lot of excellent books and Searching for David's Heart was one of the best! Searching for David's Heart is one of my favorite books because I don't usually come across a book that makes me cry. It's mostly about a 12 year old girl, Darcy, who went on a searh with her friend Sam to find her 16 year old brother's heart all because of a tragic cra accident and donated his heart and a boy in Florida ended up with it. When Sam and Darcy were traveling to Florida they missed their bus and got lost at a fair ground. Sam had learned how to do one of the Great Hudini's tricks and while they were at the fair ground he performed and they got money to continue moving. Cherie Bennet is an excellent author. I haven't read and other books of hers but I will as soon as I can. When I was reading Searching for David's Heart I didn't want to put it down because every page I read I always wanted to know what would happen next.

Searching For David's Heart
I've read a lot of good books, but Searching For David's Heart was by far the best book I have ever read. After sixteen year old David's death, his younger sister Darcy and her best friend Sam are in search of the child who has David's donated heart. This book will take you on a great journey from a small town in Wisconsin to Miami Florida.Once Darcy and Sam find the boy with David's heart, they ask his family to come to Wisconsin to spend Christmas with her parents, and family. This book turns into an amazing unforgettable story. You will not be able to put it down.It will make you happy as well as make you cry.I haven't read any other books by Cherie Bennett, but I know I will.If Cherie Bennett's other books have the same feelings and emotions to them,as in Searching For David's Heart,I'm absolutly sure I'll love them.

Did You Hear About Amber? (Puffin High Flyer)
Published in Paperback by Penguin/Puffin Mass Market (June, 1993)
Author: Cherie Bennett
Amazon base price: $3.50
Used price: $20.66
Average review score:

It was pretty good.
It was a good book, but I didn't like how Amber was so self-centered. In the end, she changes for the better though.

You won't want to put it down.
Sixteen year old Amber has everything: a rich and handsome boyfriend, popularity, a role as head cheerleader, a dance group close to stardom, poverty, a thirty-two year old mother, and a crippling medical secret that could cost her everything she thinks is important in her life. Amber's cockiness and manipulations to rise to number one also play a role in her social downfall. This novel by Cherie Bennett is an excellent story about how one girl's impoverished beginnings created a stong desire in her to hide her true self and become the best at everything, only to find one day that the life as she had built as her own was nothing but a lie. Amber finds that undoing this lie takes her away from her previous dreams and shows her the dreams that she really wanted. I recommend this book for its excellent writing and "soapopera-esque" storyline.

Beneath all popular teens, there is always a problem.
Amber Lynn Harkin has it all; boyfriend, cheerleading, and the hot dance group, Sizzle. One day she finds out that she has a disability. She now faces many risks concerning her reputation. It just goes to show you that being different is ok and just because you are popular, doesn't mean you don't have a lot of problems.

One of the best books i've read
I found this book extremely interesting it shows how a bond between friends can be held no matter what. foe example one of the 3 main charictors in this book (noelle) is a figure skater who has something wrong with her and even though she hides it from her friends the still stand by her even after she gets a guy (erin) had a thing for .. I think you can put yourself in any of these girls positions and thats what makes this book so good, the truth behind it.

it was an awesome book... i just finished it 10 minutes ago
I loved it. I couldn't help myself, and i practically read the whole thing in a day. I 've read other cherie bennett books, and i find a connection to Emma, Sam and Carrie in her sunset Island books, but i think GIrls In Love is way better. Its such a great book! there are so many different view points, so you're not really stuck in one perspective, as many books are, and well, it was a very well written book. if you like romance, and even if you don't, i think you'll like it. there are so many different things going on, and it is a book that is easily related to.

A passionate book, with realistic charatcters and true love.
I loved the book! The characters were the best for me. The strange thing was they resembled my friends and I. Cherie Bennett gave them such realistic personalities, and used such perfect descriptive words, one can not help but feel sorry and happy for each, as though they were close friends or relatives. I espcially liked the cleanliness of the book. It had no impure thoughts or motives, contrary to popular love stories. I give this book a five star rating.
