I didn't think this book was at all helpful. I felt that the author focused too much on religion and God. Maybe that helped her recovery but for many people it won't. I also felt that she didn't go into enough detail with her either her recovery or her disease. Bulimia is serious and I felt she made too light of it. I think that if you are looking for a good self-help book, you might want to read Reviving Ophelia, by Mary Pipher.
