fun or sport

This book is fun and informative. The book keeps the young readers attention all the way to the end. This is one they could and will read in one setting. Yet, the reader will look at the illustrations and awesome photos many times. Great book to include with a water unit. A nice bonus is the glossary in the back.

A very great book.

This book on sharks is very cool. It almost has all you wanted to know on sharks. Norman Barrett did not make a mistake on writeing this book.

A Good But Somewhat Dated Introduction

This is a very good book in the Dorling Kindersley style, lots of details, sidebars, photos and facts. In 2-3 page sections, the book covers ski jumping, skiing, downhill racing, the slalom, freestyle, cross-country, and other snow sports (e.g., very brief mentions of dog-sled racing, the luge, bobsledding). Although too brief, and by now, quite outdated, it's a good short introduction to snow sports. Includes a glossary and an index, and lots of photos in its 32 pages.
