Beyond 5 Stars!
This book has all there is for the novice and experienced
investors ... . It has all the information relevant to the world of investments, mutual funds, stocks, bonds, indices ....
All presented in as simple way as possible to the man in the street. Yet in it's own way I would think even the expert money
managers will hate to give this book a miss!

Everyone planning to retire should read this book
I was surprised how quick paced and understandable this book is to read. Investment strategies can be very dry. But this book is a fast read and I learned a lot from the author.

I have never been able to stay in the market when it got rough. But this book showed me why I need to stay in, even when all the bad news tells me to get out. More important, I learned that if I use a wide allocation of funds, I will actually have less risk. This was a real eye opener for me.

I am very grateful the author took the time to write this book. It will change my entire approach to investing. Now maybe I will actually achieve my objectives. Thanks

Investment Alchemy
A must read for anyone wanting to know what investing is all about.

Clear and Concise
This was a very good study guide. I took this course via Independent Study, so it was nice to have a study guide that I could depend on. The book features a summary outline of the key concepts for each chapter along with 10 to 15 true/false questions, 10 to 20 fill-in-the-blanks, 10 to 15 multiple choice questions, and 2 to 4 excercises/problems. The fill-in-the-blanks are somewhat cheesy, but all the other types of questions make you think. There are answer keys for each chapter that even explain why the answer is what it is. The exercises/problems are good because they were usually a different scenario than what was used as an example in the textbook, so you got even more learning out of them before attempting homework problems in the text book. All in all, I recommend this study guide if you are looking for extra help with the answers available or if you are taking this course via independent study.

Good, good, good!
The fact that everyone uses the web in some way or another, this is a good book to have. I am a computer junkie and this book definitely kept my head afloat. But I highly recommend you read "A Branded World" by Michael Levine. This author really knows what he's talking about. The next time a company hands out memos to its employees, make sure "A Branded World" is on the top of the page!

Best book on branding online
I haven't made it past chapter 3 and I have already read a wealth of helpful information on branding your business name and branding tools. The author provides a detailed, step-by-step guide to branding and marketing techniques one can use both online and offline. This book is a must read for first-time start-ups and entreprenuers.

Great Book
This is a great book for those of you who want to make a name for yourself on-line. Bob has an abundance of ideas to get you started and to keep you going as you explore the ways to market yourself online. Bob has a very witty and humorous way to keep you interested in what he has to say. I think Mr. Baker is on the cutting edge of where the future of online marketing is headed. I highly recommend this book.

Could Have Been Better
I liked this textbook because it is nice and clean and uncluttered inside, however I think that the content could have been better. I had trouble with the first chapter having to do with business combinations in that every time a journal entry was recorded, I had no idea whether the author was referring to the common stock of the purchasing company or the common stock of the selling company. After a while, I finally figured it out, but I thought the problem could have been avoided by being more clear. There are many more examples that I have like this one. I may be being picky about the book seeing as how I took this course via independent study, so I did not have the ability to ask an instructor specific questions. I just think that the authors could have done a better job being more clear on many things. In the end, I did end up getting a A in the course!

Good value for the money
I have used this book in conjunction with Gleim's CPA review books in preparation for FARE section of the CPA exam. Excellent supplement especially if you look for technical aspects of purchase/pooling accounting. The chapters on consolidation are truly outstanding. Very thorough and comprehensive. The only drawback as with many other textbooks is the lack of answer keys at the end of the chapter. Overall, I would definitely recommend getting it.

Expectation for the Policies of the New Indonesia Government
The book clearly gives insight knowledge of how Indonesian government and non-governmental institutions respond to rapid economic growth and societal demands.

A useful part of the book provides information about President Wahid's policies when he ran the Revival of Religious Scholars Organization; the book describes its history, structures, views, and responses to the political, economic and social changes that have been caused by the New Order's program. These components give us some predictions and expectations of what policies that this new and first Indonesian democratic government will implement in the coming years, in regards to their economic policy towars international communities, such as IMF, the World Bank, and foreign investors.
