A Guide Dog Puppy Grows Up
I need buy this book but I don't know how. I don't have shopping card. How can I buy this book? Thanks

Wonderful photos, moving story! Great for the classroom!
This book is filled with photos of puppies and dogs in training. The reader will identify with Honey from her birth in the kennels to life with her puppy raisers, her training in guidework and finally, being paired with her blind partner. The book is a great way to attract children's/students' interest in learning about disabilities.

Koala is a good book
Koala has lots of imformation about koalas. It has cute pictures of little koals. I think it is a really good book. I love to look at the pictures of the different types of koalas. The picure of the koala with the stethoscope on its chest is my favorite.

This Book Captivated My 20-Month Old!
When my son started to show an interest in animals, I went out and got this book. It was the first time in his 20 months on earth, that he sat down and paid attention to an entire book without trying to tear the pages, or without just simply finding something else to do. After I finished reading the book to him, and showing him the fantastic, real-life pictures, he was still sitting there waiting for me to turn the page to another picture of an animal. While my 20-month old enjoyed the real-life pictures, my 3 and-a-half year old enjoyed the reading, also. The author's words are informative, but not too deep or complicated. After checking this book out from the library, I had to go out and purchase it because I knew it was a must-have in my home, and my son would have missed the book terribly if I had returned it to the library and not brought it back home.

Echidnas! Wombats! Dingoes! And more!
"Australian Animals," by Caroline Arnold, is a good introduction to the creatures of Australia. Directed towards younger readers, the book combines a simple text with plentiful full-color photographs. Animals described include koalas, bilbies, Tasmanian devils, and many others.

The book contains many memorable images: a baby wallaby peeking out from the safety of his mother's pouch, a platypus swimming underwater, a thorny devil lizard trekking across the red sand, fairy penguins congregating by the seashore, and more. Overall, a brief but enjoyable book.

The Bestest True Whale Story
I like whales really much. I have been studying whales for about 3 years. I am most knowledgible about the the giant creatures of the sea: like the blue whale, the bowhead whale, the right whale, the grey whale, humpback, fin whale, minke whale (all baleen whales), and the rest are toothed whales.

I liked "Baby Whale Rescue" because they saved a whale that was stranded without its mother for a week. I knew JJ from TV News, Seaworld, and from watch his release to the sea.

Stormy Weather
Caroline Arnold does it again with her book El Nino: Stormy Weather for People and Wildlife. Arnold incorporates images, created by satellites, to show the cause and effect of El Nino. After discussing the weather phenomenon itself, she then surveys the effect it has on wildlife and the connection it has to diseases, past and future. A great book for all ages.

A celebration of wildlife
Caroline Arnold's "South American Animals" is a great way to introduce children to the amazing wildlife of this vast continent. Although the book's length of 48 pages limits the amount of information that the author can share, the straightforward text and beautiful full-color photographs make this book a good addition to the family library.

The animals discussed in the book are grouped according to four geographic regions: forests, mountains, grasslands, and the water's edge. The species pictured include the toucan, the spider monkey, the guanaco, and many more. The book is full of stunning images: the colorful coils of the emerald tree boa, the predatory beauty of the jaguar, the majesty of the Andean condor in flight. Read the book and marvel at the wonders of nature.

Camp Bovey's Mascot
This book will be enjoyed by children and those who are interested in the folklore traditions of the mid-west.

This tale has been translated in different forms around the campfire at Camp Bovey (formally Camp Hodag) for over 50 years! Children summer after summer sit wide-eyed as the Camp Director re-tells the legend of the Hodag; how he is there to help us as long as we respect his home: the forest.

This story teaches about the evils of greed, and, conversely, what can be accomplished with a lot of hard work and faith.

The illustrations are large and colorful and bring the story to life.

Enjoy your reading of The Terrible Hodag!
