If you want to trade futures, buy this book
I first balked at the high price of this book. It didn't matter that it was written by professional futures trader, George Angell. I bought it and studied the different spread trades that he dedicates a chapter each to. This book will be useful for years to come from taking these trades. The price is well worth it in just one or two contract spreads.

sniper trading
Being a colllege professor for more than 3 decades, I have read too many books on money, market, investing , and trading. I found
George Angell's book one of the best. It tells as it is and reveals not only the in-and-out, the up-and-down of trading the market but also the philosophy of life, the psychology of trading, and the attitude of winning the games. I recommend this book to anyone who has interest in shot-term trading.

Insight Galore!
George Angell constantly produces hits when it comes to futures investing. From his proprietary LSS system to his down to earth attitude he has my complete professional courtesy.

His book opens the eyes of the average investor and let's it be known that futures are not one dimensional. You have multiple strategies and tools at your disposal to help you succeed. One of those tools is hedging. ... This is a must have book for the novice futures trader.

THE BEST PLACE FOR BEGINNERS TO START
I am in definite agreement that this book is about the best place for any newcomer to the commodities market. It states just what you need to do, how to organize a trading plan and much more. The end of chapter summary in point form is very helpful as a sort of quick reference.

As a Gann trader, I am pleased with the entire chapter that has been written about W.D. Gann method of trading, which is available in a very simple to understand format.

At the beginning of my career, I did a beginners "course" for about $200. I must admit that I had learnt much more in this book than that so called $200. money-making-machine course. Congratulations to the author and best wishes to the readers!

a must have book
This is the one book that any novice must have. This book not only explains how to get started but how to increase your chances of winning in the futures market. Chapter include an excellent day trading method, Gann methods for picking market tops and bottoms, and overall excellent market winning advice. All of this at a reasonable price. This book is the best futures book for those starting out as well as advanced traders. The information in this book is all substance. The book however, does not make for easy reading. It is difficult in some parts, and requires rereading. This is due to the tremendous concentration of information. The book is also reasonable in telling the reader that one must work hard to master the information it contains. It is not unrealistic in the sense that one simply reads the book and one is an automatic wizard at trading. One must work hard at studying the book and working at the information to become a master trader. If one doesnt want to work he is better off in not reading the book, because the book wont work, if you dont work. A great book. A market classic.

Top of the Class
This book is intended (more or less) for a person beginning in options. Its no "walk in the woods" but considering the abstruseness of both the subject and the other books on the topic I have scanned, it's near the top of the class. I think, it may also be somewhat more understandable than the Option Industry Council's - Option's Toolbox CD. This whole area has been poorly explained to the beginner for the most part, which is why options are not much more widely used despite their potential for leverage and risk reduction.

This book is very interesting and readable.
A concise, useful, and comprehensive overview of futures trading. It was quite appropriate for a beginner.

Best of the multiple options books I have read.
Of the ten + options books that I have read, this was my first, and it is the best. I still refer to it often. Most of the other books are either too technical or too simplistic. This engages the reader with practical examples and descriptions of the types of trades that the novice to intermediate investor will use most. I heartily recommend it.

A USEFUL AG OPTIONS GUIDE
This book presents various option strategies which you may find a repeat of whats found in most option books. Whilst the strategies are useful andl helpful, there are many (or all) of them that can be gotten for free in the leaflets and booklets provided by various brokerage firms and the commodities exchanges. I am sure that the time the book was originally written, it must have been a far more valuable text than it is today, especially that the internet was not around in those days. However, all in all it is a nice book. I also own other books by Mr. Angell and I can say that he is really a good author who gives his readers value for their money. It is just that time may have eroded somel of the original value of this book because of similar freebies given away elsewhere.

This Book [Stinks]
Every idea this guy has for trading does not work. Moreover, the book is supposed to be about trading stocks and options, as well as futures, but the whole book is about futures.

He basically says that markets trade in two identical cycles in both the morning and afternoon. So the market is supposed to go up or down in two stages in every morning and afternoon. You wait to see what the first stage is, then enter to catch the second one, which will either last as long as the first or will rise or fall as much as the first. It doesn't work.

The book is just a complete waste of time.

total fraud
Guys
i bought angells book couple of weeks ago, and read it thouroughly, its nothing but a complete nonsense and full of rubbish.
Mr "TRADER" (george Angell) tries everything in this book to lure you to the idea of buying his so called "LSS Day trading systems"
If you dont believe me then go to CFTC (commodity futures trading commision) web site and find out about him.He has been severly charged for his misrepresentation of his Lss system and has been awarded a penalty for mail order fraud.
Good thing i only read the book and didnt trade according to this mongrals ill fated ideas...

Informative and unique look at the market
I found this book to be very helpful in designing strategies for day trading. The author uses a very mathematical approach to viewing trends and tries to pinpoint a system where it's not so important what you trade, but when you trade. He uses several examples and unites them into a methodology that works. My only qualm with the book is that he leaves a few points vague that I thought would have helped even more. All in all, if you have time for the market, you probably have time for this book.
