configs configs configs!
I'm actually very impressed with the way this book is written. It's probably the first book I've read that includes a lot of configuration examples. There aren't many books out there that you can use to study for CCIE Security. I've used the MCNS book for my lab, but it's pretty outdated. This book is way better! Whether you are studying for CCIE Security written, preparing for CCIE Security lab, or just want to master your skills with Cisco Network security, I'd recommend this book. I happened to pass CCIE Security Lab (#7927) year and a half ago. I bought this book to review my security knowledge. My favorite part is the Lab at the end of the book. It's not the same as the real lab, the lab in the book is actually a lot harder.

CCIE Practical Studies: Security
Two Thumbs Up!!
Finally, a practical guide for CCIE Security! I haven't finished the whole book yet, but what I've seen so far is right on. I've been looking for lab scenarios to practice for the lab and I got them. The CD that ships with the book is worth getting on its own, but the book text is an excellent reference as well.

I have passed my written exam. Having this book will definitely increase my chance to pass the lab.

A excelent path to get the CCIE Security Certification.
The book covers basically all key areas involved on the Security network environment that is important to be prepared to the CCIE Lab Exam as well for the professionals on Security area. Excellent in content and it brings a real world exercises that links the theory to a practical hands-on scenarios. Execellent buy.

Complete and well written Human Resource Management Resource
I was required to use this text book in my Human Resource Management class for my MBA requirements. I do not have an HR background so a lot of the information presented in this book is new to me. The authors do a great job of presenting the material in an easy to understand manner. There are a lot of real life examples and case studies that are interesting to read and help to put the concepts in to perspective.

This book will be a great reference in my professional life. It has employment laws, recruitment strategies, training and placement strategies to name a few. This is a must read for any HR professional and it really brings to focus the need for a stronger HR presence in companies to help them stay competitive.

Great book
I used this book to study for the Excelsior College exam in Human Resources Management and I got an A. It was very well written and easy to follow.

A textbook for advanced students
This is a textbook for advanced students of Human Resource Management, but even old hands in this field can gain a new insight on different topics which are very often neglected such as career development or separation and retention. Beside the discussion on different subjects the editors are bringing in comprehensive bibliography as well as discussion questions and a modern approach by using the web for additional exercises.

Profound, the writing stlye has the bite of a hot GA. sun.
This a great book, if only for the sneaking way Andrews's superb writing sudenly shocks the reader into the realization of what great talent he had. I won't give away any of the story- readers should pick up the book and find out for themselves. I will tell you, though, that what attracted me to Andrews in the first place was the tragic story of his all too short life. I may be suspect for reading a book only because of the interest I had in the author's personality. Does this take away from the work ? Possibly, but authors are intriguing people, and their personal stories can be as compelling as their fiction. Andrews has an elegant style that comes across as almost savage at the same time. This book is populated with a vivid gallery of characters that breath life right of the page. Andrews can take his palce among the canon of great the Southern writers that came befor him- Faulkner, O'Connor- and his living contemporaries like the Great George Garrett. Read and enjoy !

Review
I gave it a three because I thought it contained other information, but however it is a good guide to the ancient rituals of Egypt. It's contents just tell about what they said and all during the process of the ceremonies.

A stunning book.
I've always had something of an interest in Egyptian mythology and especially art, so this book is a goldmine for me. The plates are astoundingly beautiful in my opinion, and the translation is...well...it's hard to read, but I imagine there's no other way for it to be; it's of an ancient language very different than English. But it is readable, and it offers interesting insights into the pantheon--how even the god most commonly called the evil god had some very good and noble purposes. So it helps flesh out the gods and goddesses in ways that ordinary books with stories can't.

An Outstanding addition for anyone interested in Egypt
This book is an outstanding translation and presentation of the books that make up the Papyrus of Ani. Faulkner is far superior to Budge, and this book proves it out. In addition to the beautiful pictures and fine translations, the commentaries in the back, along with the explanations of the vignettes contained in the papyrus are well worth the money. A must for anyone interested in Ancient Egypt and their culture.

Interesting & Informative
The Book of the Dead, translated by Raymond Faulkner, is thouroughly interesting and equally informative, as Mr. Faulkner translates many deceased ancient Egyptians' spellbooks for traveling through the realm of the dead. It gives a slight glimpse at some lesser-known religous characters of ancient Egypt and a small insight to the ancients' daily life. I believe this book could be read and easily understood by any level Egyptologist, as there is a helpful glossary of people (well, gods mostly), places, and things described in the spells. This is a wonderfully translated book, based on an ancient book, and good for anyone interested in ancient Egyptian life, literature, or religion.

AWESOME!
I ordered this book, being a average Egyptologist and it turned out great! Very easy to read, and great, understanable pictures!!!

An excellent resource and well put together work
I found the work to be highly accessible not only in the translations and the prints of the actual source texts but also in the organization, especially the table of contents. It made the following of exactly what was being done in particular sections very easy, and also allows me to go straight towards particularly interesting sections without having to page through the work.
