Fantastic! Inspirational to a deep connection to the heart
LOVE AND POWER If you feel a little lost in this land of hopelessness, LOVE AND POWER, is the book for you. I found it to be a guide to a lost heart. Of course, the Holy Bible is the best in my opinion for a wounded soul. But, LOVE AND POWER is still a wonderful book, one of the best I ever read.

Thank you for helping me find my reality.
I am new to Lynn Andrews's work but have been told of her for several years. Frankly, to my surprise, I was enthralled with her style and insight. She is very unique and this is a wonderful book. I will definitely start at the beginning of her journey with Medicine Woman.I truly did not know what it was I needed or wanted to make me happy and to have "balance" in my life. The man with everything materially- but nothing spiritually or in love.I can honestly say that this book helped guide me to see what was attainable and now, blissful. Thank you.

Absolutely First Class!
Ms. Andews has done it again, but with even more clarity and insight this time! Fabulous, I'm giving a copy of this wonderful book to everyone I know for the Holidays!

Lynn Andrews' books and work
I am a 4th year student at Lynn Andrews' school and I am living in Germany. I read all of Lynn's books that are very precious and important to me. The books and the school led me to a completely new and sacred vision of life. I am very grateful for my experiences with Lynn's and the Sisterhood of the Shields' work.

Passionate Betrayal
This book was an amazing discovery of spiritual forces which even though can commence from the place of power and wisdom can if not vigilant become a force of darkness and sorcery. It is a lesson in forgiveness and the importance of protecting your spirit self from the dangers of evil forces which disguise themselves well. This book was particularly relevant in my work with others and a timely reminder that sometimes not all things are as they seem and that spirituality has two directions and not all spiritual people are working towards light. I found the writing visionary as are all Lynn's books but also show us her vulnerable and sometimes niave nature in her belief that we are all here to serve for the greater goodness. Could not put the book down until it was finished and recommend it to anyone who is in the healing or spiritual realm.

Find love, find the light.
Dark Sister is another winner for Lynne Andrews. Lynne and her teachers, Agnes and Ruby, explore the dark mysteries of the soul. I enjoyed this tale of a fallen sister, Sin Corazon and her powerful journey from the dark side of sorcery to the light of the Sisterhood of the Shields. Lynne has shown us that through love a person can conquer the darkness we all carry within us. Lynne also explains that we all can find and peace and tranquillity we search for through love. I highly recommend this book for anyone who is looking for the key that will open the door that leads to greater self knowledge and inner tranquillity.

The Love and Power Journal (by Lynn V Andrews)
I happened on this journal in a little bookstore in Black Mountain, NC in August of 1999. At the time my Dad was terminally ill. My brother, my Dad, and I were going through a most difficult time, emotionally. Anyway, I started working in this journal the first of September, 1999. It is a very wonderful tool for healing and uniting our inner selves. It requires DEEP introspection and therefore offers DEEP healing. I positively recommend this book, but remember before you start the journey be ready to do some real, sometimes painful, rewarding work. God Bless You!

Beautiful inspirational journey...!
Okay, so I haven't completed reading the book yet (which takes a year if you do it properly, I might add! plus it was only published in 1999), but I just had to say that so far this book is a beautiful experience. Lynn's spirituality radiates through to the reader and it truly a life-affirming experience.

The book weekly meditations that inspire you to reflect deeply on yourself, and to make changes in your life where necessary. It includes journal writing, some spiritual/meditative ritualising that even the most conservative reader could find enlightening.

A word of warning: if you aren't ready for a journey towards discovering your true self, don't buy this book! However, if you feel ready to confront your inner shadows, go for it. Buy it, approach the book (and your life) with an open & investigative mind and you won't regret it. Cheers!

The Enjoyable Road to Life Mastery
This is a great gift for yourself or others. It's attractive, so it really makes one want to get involved with this life-enhancing path. The author , as you probably know, is well-immersed in this field. In this book/journal, she offers a weekly lesson for introspection and illumination. These lessons include a thought for reflection that is the essence of that week's journey. The last half of the book offers lined journal pages for your use in exploring journal topics, etc. Every page is nicely decorated with shamanistic symbols. Each week's topics are not just random; they are designed in an order to lead the reader on a year-long quest for better Self-hood. It's really an exciting opportunity packaged in an enticing workbook.

wicked
This book helped me find and make sence if my spiritual path. It opened my mind to new ideas. I would definutally recomend this book to anybody who is pagan or just curious about shamanism. ---peace out

Stunning
Andrews has been critcized for her approach to 20th century spiritualism, but this book shows that her fiction has an edge rarely found in contemporary writing. This addition to her chronicles takes the author on a dreamtime journey to Celtic England where Catherine (Andrews in a previous life) begins her studies with a wise woman and the Women of Wyrrd, those ancient crones who hold all the truths of all time. Celtic lore especially fascinates me and the journeys and experiences of Catherine serve to reinforce that we all share the same roots, regardless of the lables we assume today. I read these books for the spiritual truths between the lines and found this book to have more than it's share. A delight to read and to experience.

An immensely powerful book that whets the appetite for more.
While reading this book in a dark, wooden, cave-like basement apartment, I was mesmerized by this woman's journey into a personal spiritual realm. Discoveries, dangers, and strong ties to surprising teachers wove a fascinating tale. More than just a book - it contains a treasure-map to claim one's own strengths. As soon as I finished, I wanted to begin my "education," and did.

A wonderful interview!
Michael Toms (of the New Dimensions radio program) interviews best-selling author Lynn Andrews in this fascinating book. Lynn tells stories of some of her real-life experiences with sorcerors and magic, and how she felt at the time these amazing things happened. Lynn also does a beautiful job expressing the importance of learning to manage our emotions... for if we don't, our emotions will control our lives. This book is a must-read for Lynn's fans!

Lynn V. Andrews is Marvelous!
What a lovely and inspiriational find! I have heard many things about this author, and I am very pleased to say that I am definitely a new fan! I have a lot of catching up to do, I am told I should start at the beginning, with her 1st book, Medicine Woman, it apparently is the history of how Lynn got to where she is now.Walk In Balance is highly recommended!

Changed my perspective on relationships
This book recounts Lynn's real adventure into her spirit marriage and meetings with other medicine women in Nepal. Her writing style evokes a novel -- but in your heart you KNOW it's real. You KNOW that you chose this book to teach you about yourself and your relationships. It was the first of her books I read, and now I must read THEM ALL. It is the first book I've read about any relationship that gave me a tool to gain peace about my own relationships.

Tree of Dreams
Story-telling is a time-honored way of teaching in all cultures. In this tradition, Andrews is One of The Great Teachers.
It is encouraging to note that the Wisdom of Native Americans continues to guide us through our transitions and growth. The same Wisdom that helped form the American Constitution.
In our sometimes adolescent society, teachings about conflict and transitions included in this and earlier books by Andrews, can truly benefit our development. Tree of Dreams addresses becoming an Elder.

A powerful and moving metaphysical reflection
Tree Of Dreams: A Spirit Woman's Vision Of Transition And Change by Lynn Andrews is a deeply moving narrative of her quest for growth, spiritual fulfillment, and better understanding of sacred things. Embracing the power of healing and coping with "little deaths" such as divorce or the sudden loss of a job, as well as the great losses of loved ones to "Time's Eternal March", Lynn Andrews' Tree Of Dreams is a powerful and moving metaphysical reflection. Also very highly recommended are Lyn Andrews' previous books: Medicine Woman and Jaguar Woman.

Deserves to be read more than once!
TREE OF DREAMS is not my favorite Lynn Andrews book -- and I've read and loved most of them. That's not to say I didn't like it! Any time spent with Agnes and Ruby is time well spent. And Lynn is a GREAT storyteller. It's just that there isn't as much adventure in this one (until the end) and there's a lot of talk. But very valuable talk it is! She's much more philosophical in this book -- reminds me of Ecclesiastes: We get older, our friends die, we think about the circle of life and death, the transitions, the fact that we are one, that our loved ones never really leave us. Be open. Believe. Move with the flow. It's all about love. Her closing words are golden: "There is magic in the world if you want the world to be magical. If you want life to be special, it will be. ... What matters is your ability to love. ..."

The Power Deck Set
Published in Cards by United States Games Systems (September, 1997)
Authors: Lynn V. Andrews and U S Games Systems
Amazon base price: $27.50
Used price: $27.50
Average review score:

Short summary: New Age pap illustrated by surreal cliches.
This deck of 45 cards purports to reveal the secret wisdom of the universe, but the "secrets" turn out to be the usual stuff. Destiny, centering, creativity, balance, courage-- these truths have been around for a very long time. The pictures are beautiful, but there is a certain sameness and repetition to them. Floating globes, the planet Earth, sky where the ground should be, bursts of light, waterfalls, a lot of trees, flowers, rocks and birds: it's as though the artist was working with a small pile of artistic concepts which he combined in random and different ways for each picture.

Each illustration has an explanation on the back, but I don't think it would make much difference which words went with which picture. The Zen Garden with Floating Earth, the Buddha with Orchid and Flying Eagle, Stonehenge in Space, the Boat and Heron with Floating Globes: these could be combined with Magic, Truth, Essence, Virtue, Innocence, or any one of the 45 descriptions.

The wisdom of the cards is the standard New Age stuff. "Know that the powers of the universe are within you." "Your being is like a spirit lodge." "We are all in need of world harmony." "Awaken the power of your will, and find your joy and your laughter."

I was disappointed in this deck.

Wonderful source for self discovery
My cousin bought me this deck and book and since then I have used it in many ways and for many reasons. I feel a real connection to this deck. It can tell me more about myself and others than any set of tarot I have worked with. This is a wonderful way to learn about yourself. It is a great way for self improvement and even my great friend who reads tarot at fairs has started coming to me in times of need because he feels it is more accurate. Wonderful book! Wonderfully written!

Be prepared to learn something about yourself!
Lynn Andrews has been a teacher of mine for many years. Although I've never met her, she has taught me more about myself than any other author I've come across. These cards are based on cards used in one of her books, and each one has meaning based on teachings of the different directions. Even if you have no experience with her books or native american shamanism, these cards' images and beautiful words will touch your soul.
