Taking Cerebral Palsy to School

Very Educational!
What a great idea for a book! It teaches kids to accept others and at the same time they learn the facts about Cerebral Palsy.

Believe in yourself
You can do anything if you try hard enough. This book is great because it shows that even if you are challenged there is a way you can meet your goals. Just like kids at my school that are in wheel chairs still do p.e. and everything else.

It's a great book!

Great work!
Very interesting to learn about other people's disabilities. Easy to read.

Fabulous book!!
I grabbed this book off the shelf at the library and have had to continuously return to check it out again and again, and again. I'm finally going to buy it.

The book's "chapters" are divided up by year, going chronologically from 1900 to 2000. Each year has newspaper articles and photos of events, styles, sports, politics, etc. It does a great job of re-creating the excitement of the times. It also puts certain things into perspective. For example, being born in the 70's, I had a hard time really understanding why racism was so prevelent. I was able to read about Jackie Robinson and other significant turning points--such as the first black actor on Broadway. I still find it difficult to believe how we could be so racist just a short time ago.

It's really riveting to read and see the events each year and how things change. Some inventions don't seem important at the time but turn out to be huge.

This book is a real page turner, but due to how it is divided up, can easily be something you slowly savor over the long-haul.

I strongly encourage you to pick up a copy and experience history, one news story at a time.

Great Buy!
This is such a gorgeous book! I bought it as a birthday gift for my dad and was so impressed I went out and got one for my collection. Great pictures and a great buy!

One of the most inspiring people ever
Tom did not learn to read until just a few years ago... after he was already a self made millionaire. My jaw dropped when I heard his story after he won the Horatio Alger award. He is so nice, so inspiring, and so real. You will enjoy this book. I like the part, it makes me laugh, when he talks about a vacation he took with his family once and it flooded. Don't want to give it away, but the part where he runs through the flood waters to grab the boat made me laugh for days. There's more to the story, you just have to read the book to get the scoop!

Outstanding...a true American dream story from the heart.
Motivating and inspiring. The story of overcoming severe health problems as a child, battling illiteracy, building a multi-million dollar business and sharing success with others. The Millionaire's Secret gives us all a ray of hope that anything is possible to those who persevere.

Read It! Draw It! Solve It!--- Love It!
This workbook is composed of activities that combine reading, math, written expression, and problem-solving. The student must read the problem and draw a picture of how they view the passage, then they must solve the problem in a through a pictoral manner. This allows the child to show how they solve the problems while using their creativity. Teachers may visualize any errors made by the child and understand better how to help the child. This is fun and educational and what could be better?

Read It! Draw It! Solve It!
This series of books is an excellent way for children to learn about what math really means. They got the opportunity to draw out the problem that they are solving and then write the equation and finally write a sentence or more about the answer. This is great preparation for the WASL test, and for greater thinkers. All students can be successful with these materials.

Absolutely the best of this architectural series. In addition to the wry wit of writer John Chase, this book has superb color photographs that match the text in style and tone.

Great hands-on root cause analysis tools
After looking through many books on root cause analysis, I came across this books published by the American Society for Quality (ASQ). While most books on root cause analysis go deeply into the theory and the concepts of the topic, this book presents, as the subtitle states, simplified tools and techniques that can be easily applied to any organization. At my employer -- a medical device company --, we have trained over 100 employees using the Andersen/Fagerhaug book to solve technical as well as staffing issues. I highly recommend the book for use at all levels of an organization.

ISA System Architecture
Published in Paperback by Mindshare Press (May, 1992)
Authors: Don Anderson and Tom Shanley
Amazon base price: $34.95
Average review score:

Great coverage of ISA bus concepts
Just completed the book. Excellent coverage of the ISA Bus -- from the hardware as well as software point of view.
Book also covers the peripheral support chips (8237,8259, etc) that are attached to the Bus -- as well as the operating
modes of various x86 processors.

Definetly geared towards Operating System Developers.

Great Little Book
I like this book since it covers the ISA bus in a very compresive way. It is a good book on computer architecture since it descibes how the CPU attaches to the bus, and what gets attached to the bus. the authors descibe the evolution of the bus by discussing how the CPU (286,386,..) attached to the bus evolves. i like how the book is organized... you dont have to go searching all over the place for information. everything is presented thoroughly and without convolution so that you dont have to start with the first chapter, or, when you refer back to the book, you dont have to read a bunch of other chapters.

Technically speaking, a great resource!
The examples and explanations of why and how the ISA architecture functions in a standard PC were a great help for me. As the book progresses, one can appreciate the complexity of the ISA architecture, yet I didn't get "lost" from chapter to chapter. Without this resource, I probably wouldn't have been able to complete a major design project and graduate from college.

Greatest Star Wars comic ever...
Except issue 6. I think Kevin Anderson wrote this one, with the corny lines "HE HAS A SITH AMULET! THEY'RE DEADLY!" and "I wonder who that man is? I feel like I will learn much from him!" and "Dace is dead! I told him." The Jedi in the final issue seem to be Supermen, unfallable. The story shows a young Jedi turn to the Dark Side because of the death of his master and another Jedi, Exar Kun turn to the Dark Side because he was just plain dumb. No really, he was. His Jedi Master told him not to go looking into The Sith because he is too young. Maybe he should have listened to the crab Master, I mean he IS A MASTER right? The art is good, except for issue 6. I don't know what happened, but issue 6 can not be part of the series. It is just awful, awful writing and art. The lightsabers are blue sticks. Seriously, they put NO effect into them at all. The coloring is poor on everything too. When it shows lasers or effects, its just 2 colors and not a variety of colors.

Turn to the dark side!!
I like this book. I like the way the evil sith spreads across the galaxy and threatens the existance of the old republic. I like how John Sygan performs the voice of Ulic Qel-droma. I like how Exer-kun resurrects the dark lords of the sith. I love the dark side. Both in human nature and in Star Wars. This book is very cool. The audio drama is also cool. This book is highly recommended to all future Star Wars fans. This is Kevin J. Anderson at his best. Turn to the dark side.

Electric, explosive, and definitly worthy of buying.
This comic is filled with exciting adventures, and action-packed scenes, this is a must reader in the star wars universe, and the scenes with Exar Kun, the evil Dark Lord of the Sith is great. I recommend this comic to all fans.

Nta Trapping Handbook: A Guide for Better Trapping
Published in Paperback by National Trappers Association (November, 1984)
Authors: Tom Krause, Bob Anderson, and Norman Gray
Amazon base price: $8.00
Used price: $2.20
Average review score:

Easy to read beginners guide to N American trapping.
Explains all the basics of trapping including ethical and legal considerations. Describes techniques for common N American animals, (Beaver, Coyote, Racoon, Muskrat, etc). I found it very useful to start with but I had to get more detailed descriptions elsewhere to clarify some points.

An excellent book for beginner trappers and pro's alike.
N.T.A.'s Trapping Handbook is an excellent illistrated guide for those who would like to know more about trapping. The sections on individual animal species and behaviors give the inexperienced trapper valuable information, and professionals may find a few new tricks that could improve their catch. The handbook is an exceptional reference book that should be in every trappers library.

A great book for all who want to learn how to trap.
I was fortunate to have someone show me the trade of Fur Trapping, and the NTA is giving the modern/new trapper the edge to get off to the right start if they do not have anyone to show them. I purchaced the book when it first came out thru the NTA and I still use it every year all season long. I have been trapping for 26 years now. Ed Collins
