A must-have!
This books is the definitive work about hard disks. It explains everything about all kinds of hard disks. Besides that, it also explains details of SCSI devices and RAID. It has a large database with jumper settings and configuration details of hundreds of hard disks, wich is very helpful to technicians. It comes with a CD-ROM full of very usefull utilities.
I recommend it!
This books explains all you want to know about hard disk, including lots of information on jumper settings and hard disk CMOS parameters.
Incredibly helpful for people who must install hard drives
This is the most useful source I have for hard drive jumper settings, CMOS settings, etc. I have three previous editions, and wouldn't part with any of them. I do computer support for a large academic department of a university, and encounter a wide range of drives, adapters, computers, etc. These books have saved me a lot of time, blood, sweat and tears.

If you buy only one book on Windows 95, let this be it...
If you can buy only one book on Windows 95, let this be it. The only reason I gave this book a 9 instead of a 10 is because it's on the verge of going out of date, and I would prefer a newer version (1998). HOWEVER, it's still the book to buy. The information is concise and easy to read, yet technical enough to those with an intermediate to advanced knowledge of Windows 95. I bought it as a precursor to studying for the MCSD Windows architecture exams, and I think I made an excellent choice. Buy it!
Hold on to your keyboard & mouse. Possibly one of the best!
Have actually rated this book a "9.5", (actually a "10") in the spirit of the Olympics, leave room for the book that has that added edge is a true "10". Mark Minasi, Christa Anderson, and Patrick Cambell have truly done their home work on this one. There is a silent personal touch as you read through the pages, kind of like they understood what some people might be going through and looking for in a book of this type. Don't get me wrong as this is also a very powerful publication and is very useful at my level. It will more than meet the needs of the mid-range user to the power user, wouldn't recommend it to the novice. I just happen to have enjoyed the style compared to some of the other reference books I have used. The layout of both the sections and chapters give it a sense of organization making you feel comfortable reading. It allows a person to move around without getting lost, and if you do, the table of contents isn't very far away. Which is also very well layed out. If you are on, or work within, a network or an administrator in some capacity the network chapter is most excellent and very extensive! Networks are also mentioned throughout the other sections. Even contains a chapter and references throughout for the "registry hacks" that will show you the way, but be careful. The troubleshooting section is heaven. The entrie book fills those voids Microsoft has left out in it's documentation. The CD that is included makes this even a better buy. The multimedia portion is very informative and, again, well put together. The tools section is even better. If you are looking for a book(s) and CD package, I purchased the set which included "Mastering Windows 95" (The Windows 95 Bible) by Robert Cowart, this is the one to buy!! It will help guide you throgugh life with Windows 95. Thank you for the nice work everyone!!!

Forty Minutes by the Delaware: The story of the Whitalls, Red Bank Plantation, and the battle for Fort Mercer

Excellent
This book was very easy to follow. I found it to be historically accurate and highly informative. From the very beginning the author has the reader very captivated. The book gave a complete view on not just the battle but how the people of that era lived. It gave a good human side to a major event in our history. Whoever reads this book will appreciate both sides of this war. And most importantly, this book stimulates the sense of heritage, pride, and the importance of preserving our valuable history. The statistics were also helpful for me, because for the first time I saw the correct numbers of troops involved in the Battle of Fort Mercer. This book was well done.

Promulgates a bad image of gays
A teenager is seduced into gay sex by an older "sophisticated" man. Then he is encouraged to participate in drugs and orgies. An innocent gay is raped and commits sucide because he is gay. Every conceivable negative stereotype of gays and gay life finds its way into this novel. It is propaganda for the religious right, confirming their worst fears. There is nothing here of tenderness, of love, of reality. And this review will not be printed because Amazon (who wants to sell books) will not print a negartive review.
Suspenseful, Sexy and Southern--What a Combination!
Ken Anderson's novel fully delivers on what the "Barely Legal" short story excerpt promised. If you're looking for a well-written, can't-put-it-down gay page-turner, consider your search over. Here you'll find a sensuous older man-younger man romance complete with hot sensual lovemaking and details of growing up gay in a 1969 South by several characters. Much of the novel's setting is at a huge remote villa overlooking a vast forest-fringed lake. Mr. Anderson is quite adept at setting a mood whether it be the uncertainty about Vietnam facing draft-age males in 1969, a blazing fireplace with bone-chilling cold outside, the rampant 1960s drug use, an almost-drowning or the claustrophobic feel of being buried alive(I could almost literally feel the dirt coming down on me). While applauding Mr. Anderson's depiction of gay life(several worthwhile role models in the book!)in 1969 and taking into account the intelligence, awareness and world travelling of the gay characters, my only complaint is that no mention is made of the Stonewall Riots which predate the novel's opening by barely a month(and the novel's main action is the next 5 months)and which had such a huge impact on gay life. Aside from that one tiny gripe, my advice is buy this book, curl up under a warm quilt and read the night away.
