Timeless commentary
I found myself consumed with this collection. I listened to the entire 5-CD set in one sitting. Though these commentaries took place in the 1970s, the wisdom contained within is timeless. You will find Reagan's words prophetic and very applicable to the 21st century. As you listen to these, keep in mind that Reagan personally wrote each of these commentaries. Outstanding collection!

Reagan speaks
When I first heard this set of audiotapes, I was drawn in by the way it was put together. The editors of Reagan In His Own Voice precede each broadcast or group of broadcasts with commentary of their own or summary of the then-current events. Reagan's no-nonsense opinions on every topic ranging from junk food to gun control reminds me of the ideals I grew up with during my teenage years. The morals and values of that time helped shape me into the person that I am today: compassionate with the belief that every one person is responsible for his/her own actions. Sadly, there's a segment of the population who might consider Reagan's messages outdated or superficial.
Whether you are Democrat or Republican, liberal or conservative, there is something here for everyone to identify with. Go to your local library and listen to this set. I guarantee at least half of you will wind up buying it. Enjoy and Take Care.

This Is Reagan! This Is History!
Now more than ever we know about all of the speeches and radio addresses Ronald Reagan wrote in the 70's. It has been said that he wrote a good number of his own speeches as President, especially in his first term. These radio addresses prove beyond a doubt that he may well be the first President to ever totally plan what he wanted to do as President before even running for office. It is very interesting to listen to these and realize that they are not only in audio but written as well. It shows how consistent his thinking was through out the 70's and 80's. I highly recommend Reagan In His Own Voice. He truly is the Great Communicator.

an excellent resource and/or text for athletic trainers
I have used many sports medicine books, including Arnheim and Booher, and this is the book that I continue to use the most. Includes thorough etiologies, pathologies, signs and symptoms along with management skills that every athletic trainer needs. Great illustrations and photographs. My copy is literally held together with trainer's tape because I and my students use it so much. There is an excellent study guide that accompanies this book and it would be great if Amazon could offer it. The ISBN number is 0-683-00176-0 if that helps anyone.

Very well organized; great anatomy illustrations.
Years ago when I took my first athletic training course, I used Arnheim's book. It was all I had known until this book was published. I am currntly teaching an introductory athletic training class and am using this text book. I feel this book is much better organized and does a better job in the injury and rehabilitation explanations. It also makes very good use of anatomy illustrations, tables and figures. I would recommend this book over Arnheim in a heart beat.

Absolutely great! I've read it several times.
It is very well written and keeps the readers interest. It was a hard book to put down. He helps to answer a lot of questions. I especially like to read about the actual "readings". I would love to meet him and have an actual reading with him. I am currently looking for other titles they may have written since 1996.

excellent
I read this book and absolutely loved it. I have also heard from hundreds of people who went to see him live, and he must be a great man. wish I could meet him.

One of the BEST books on understanding and using DELPHI
'Delphi in Depth' is the best book I have found on understanding Delphi. I have 14 books on Delphi and this book is a must have, for anyone serious about learning and using Delphi. It is useful for both the novice and expert programmer. The explainations and CD examples are simple and direct, showing you HOW, but also explaining in plain english WHY and WHEN to use properties and methods.

Finally someone tells it like it is!
I was extremely pleased to read such a well written and well researched analysis of the profound problems facing higher education in America. This book should be required reading for all boards of regents and those supervising policies at universities! Anyone supporting universities-which is all of us, in the case of public institutions-should read this book to understand what your (our) money is being used for. Rather than just pointing fingers, Anderson offers valuable suggestions that could really help improve our system.

King Vol. 2

A compelling look at a great, but very human, man.
This book is a revealing documentary about one of the greatest men of the Twentieth Century, Martin Luther King. It essentially reveals that this man who is now seen as the Twentieth Century's equivalent of Abraham Lincoln was a man of foibles and some weaknesses and how much of his crusade still has to be won by us. And yet, the book does not take away the essential nobility of his fight, even though it was shown to be tougher than we remember. In fact, this book, by showing how King had flaws, emphasizes that we have ability to take up his cause and not be intimidated by the lionized image of this still great ma

A slow read
Reading this book will require some time because of the transcription and content. Carl Rogers made significant changes after his contact with Martin Buber. If you have only listened to the tapes or read previous transcriptions and you need to read this book. I think reading this book provided some insight regarding both men. I have been interested in Buber's philosophy and Hassidic Judaism, and this book has been helpful. I highly recommend this book for the serious reader or student, but take the time to let the words sink in.

Excellent Book - Highly Recommend to anyone grieving.
All the books by and about George Anderson are excellent and MUST READS for anyone experiencing the loss of a loved one. To be read with an open mind, - but in my case,(a former MAJOR skeptic) I literally began calling some of the people in the book and others that had met with him and was assured by ALL of them that the readings in the books were accurately reproduced. One suggestion - read "WE DON'T DIE" first, then "WE ARE NOT FORGOTTEN." "OUR CHILDREN FOREVER" is also excellent, and "LESSONS FROM THE LIGHT" is worth reading as well. Read the books & do your own research about George- he's been put to the test on TV (Donahue;Unsolved Mysteries/48 Hours) and they are worth having on tape. The readings in the books are very impressive, loaded with details he could not possibly have about strangers- it's easy to be skeptical and believe only what you can sense yourself. But George (who was close to death himself as a child)proves there is something MORE. And IF he were a "Con"- he wouldn't still be doing this at such high demand after 19 yrs. Read. Take comfort. Research it yourself. Speak to those who have spoken to him. "We are not Forgotten" includes the story of David Elliott's father's reading (he was also interviewed later on TV).This was a skeptical man who began his journey to George thru the "We Don't Die" book. THEY SAY ONLY DEATH & TAXES ARE CERTAIN. WRONG. Some people may cheat on their taxes, but none of us can cheat death. And until it affects us, we forget how many people are in pain everyday from grief. It doesn't end at the funeral, AND it does NOT end 2 weeks (or months) later either.Grief can last months, years, or a lifetime when you lose a loved one. If you have lost a loved one and are feeling the pain of the loss - read the books about George Anderson. They are worth reading AND re-reading!!! Open your mind and your heart. When you lose someone you love sometimes faith is not enough; proof is needed that your loved one is alright and George Anderson's books and readings help provide that. Excellent.

An insightful and amazing account of George's gift to others
I first read "We Don't Die" several years ago after a close friend had passed away and a co-worker recommended I read George Anderson's story. I thought I knew how to grieve, as I had lost several family members and friends over the previous few years. I was overwhelmed. As soon as I finished the first book, I read "We Are Not Forgotten". His communications are truly healing, even for those who have not had the fortune of meeting with him. Reading his books reassure us that dying is not the end and that loved ones are not forever gone. And for those people who don't particularly enjoy reading, let them know that his books are very simple and extremely fast reading. This should not be missed.

We Are Not Forgotten
George Anderson's books were a life saver for me and my family. After the unexpected death of my brother last year, these books helped us through the grieving process. The information offered so much hope and ultimately strengthened our spirituality. Joel Martin did such a wonderful job of proving George's credibility in George's first book, "We Don't Die", that we were compelled to read all his others. I highly reccommend these TREASURES to anyone who lost a loved one or who just needs to know more about life after life. I am eternally grateful to people like George Anderson. Not only has his gift helped so many people, but George's pure goodness shows through in his work. Because of George, I now know that my wonderful brother will live on forever, watching over us.
