Life Changing Book!
I am a high-schooler... I read this little book, and it changed my world!! It little message is that God is not some way-out-there person that is not personal... this book shows how He is apart, and wants to be more apart of our lives! and how if we let Him work in us, the world around us will change!...How He makes a beautiful thing out of our lives if we let Him!WOW! Ann has such a wonderful personality... she admits her mistakes and trusts God to do an awesome work in her- and through her. This book helped me see how God works and wants to work in our lives- and we so often want to push Him off till later...we miss so many blessing by doing that! This book is SOO easy to read... so simple and fun!... you'll laugh and cry!
If you're a Christian, or not, I HIGHLY recommed this book for ANYONE and EVERYONE to get a TRUE taste of what God is REALLY all about!

Life changing. Encouraging. Practical. Loving.
I have read and reread this book numerous times. I've used it several times, reading out loud to my youth groups and I've always gotten a great response from it. The content is so simply and beautifully stated that anyone reading or hearing it is encourage to think "I can make a difference in my world! I can share Jesus." It's one of my favorite books. (And to think that after my cousin gave me a copy it sat on the self for a year!)

an inspiration
this book made me cry. because the stories were so real and precious. and because i fall so short sometimes. it helped me see what really matters in life...and helped me overcome fears i had denied for years. Jesus used this book tremendously in my life and he can use it in yours.

A Motivator! Plus: Note to Filliatrea
I love this book. No matter how many times I read it, it motivates me to try to LIVE my faith and make a difference to other people. Also, it reminds me that simple gestures can make a big difference. Filliatrea - because I love this book so much, I picked up a second copy at a yard sale (I couldn't just leave it) If you still want a copy, e-mail me privately and I will send it to you.

Read countless times and never once failed to lift my heart.
I found my copy in a thrift store more than 5 years ago. The 25 cents I paid, was the best investment I could have ever made, for has turned profits over and over in my life. Freedom in Christ was weaved throughout the pages. I gave away my book to a girl on her way to college and have not been able to find another copy since. Help!

Gave me hope.
Very inspiring, about the "right" relationship with Jesus (we don't need more money, etc, but more of HIM) and that God will send MY right man someday if I wait on him. I'm 28, I think Ann said she was 36. I hope I don't have to wait too much longer but we'll see, won't we. God's timing is perfect and he works in ways WE certainly don't understand. Thanks Ann. I'm looking for more of your books but after checking at bookstores they're out of print. Written any new ones? What are you doing now? How's Will? I really loved your book and still have notes I took which I hold very dear. Made me feel like I knew you personally. Thanks again. If anybody is looking for guidance and direction as a single woman in your walk with God and wondering if there is a man out there for you, please read Ann's book. You'll be blessed.

Ann's desire to conceive was so overwhelming.
I had not met anyone who has suffered so much torture time and time again and yet never gave up and it never even was on her mind to turn bitter towards God. Although Ann was so hurt by God's answers in her life she still kept Him as a Best friend. Although all she asked for was something so normal the answer was always "no". She still loved God and trusted Him with everything she had, all that she was and all she could be was for His honor and glory regardless of the trials and sufferings that were coming her way. Her deepest most profound desire was her childhood dream, to be a mother. It was costing her so much pain and grief for something that to others was a piece of cake. Her desire to hold her own baby was so overwhelming, but the Lord still said "no". She suffered so gravely for a child to call her own. In the mean time her husband was great always making her feel worthy and loved, always reassuring her. The Lord listened to her needs and saw her floods of tears but He wanted her to realize that He should be her first Love. Ann realized this after so much torture and gave herself to the Lord completely, it was then that the Lord blessed her with a child that she would call her own.

Worth reading, but not up to her usual standards
I LOVE Ann Kiemel Anderson, but was disappointed by this book. It was missing Ann's usual verve. In recounting someone else's story, her personal touch seemed to be missing. It still is worth reading, but is similar to an organ donor story that might be found anywhere.

This book is vintage Ann Kiemel Anderson.
Ann tells the miraculous story of her cousin who recently experienced a modern day miracle. It includes the theological questions one encounters when the heartbreak of another results in the someone else's unspeakable joy. Perhaps Ann's experiences as an adoptive mom have helped to build perspective on this issue. This book is a beautiful story told as only Ann can tell!

This is another account of God still performing miracles.
I was extremely touched by this book due to the fact that I have the exact disease that David Nash had. I am currently waiting for a liver transplant. My prayer is that God will be glorified and that He will use my experience to touch others just as He did through David Nash.

Ann, we barely knew you
And I think I like her even better after this book. I've readall of her other ones and she is an inspiration. She is also verymelodramatic, but she has had a lot to be dramatic about. This bookwas a jaw-dropper. Ann Kiemel a drug addict and leaving her husband? Lordy! What's next Sandi Patty having an affair and Amy Grant getting a divorce? Oh wait, that happened too. In any case, it's a great moral lesson that people are not always what they appear, and who they really are is often even more inspiring than who they wanted you to think they were.

Healing through honesty
I've carefully read and reread this book several times. Ann's early books gave me direction and encouragement in my Christian walk, and this one, while completely different from the others, does the same. Too many Christians are trying to keep up a cheerul face without dealing honestly with hurts within. Ann's story will bring healing and hope to many. Thank-you, Ann, for peeling away the facade and walking us through your pain and your growth closer to the Lord.

This book was worth the wait!
I am a huge Ann Kiemel Anderson fan and have waited a long time for her new book. It was worth the wait. It took incredible courage for Ann to write this book, exposing her weaknesses for the world to see. If you like Ann, you have to have this book!

Disappointing to see that it's not about open adoption!
I ordered this book expecting to hear a happy story about open adoption...instead what I received was a rambling account of a semi-open adoption. Somehow Ann has the mistaken, self-serving notion that only the birth mother benefits from visiting the child so her & her husband cut off visits after the 1st year. This is NOT open adoption!!! It's just another account of one mother who experiences joy while thinking, "Oh how cute, he smiles like his birth mom."...while another mother has nothing on her mind but how she will survive the next 18 years until the child reaches some "magical" age where it's okay for her to see him and his parents(who used to be her friends.) Ann was afraid her children would be "confused" to have his birth parents in their lives. What a lame argument! A child has many aunts, uncles, and grandparents that he loves....but NEVER does he doubt who his mommy is! Too bad the author doesn't have the courage to face her insecurities and enter into a true open adoption...because you will not find a word about real open adoption in this book!

This book touched my heart!
My husband and I are in the process of adopting 2 newborns. The birthmothers are sisters and their babies are due 2 months apart. This book gave us the strength to involve ourselves with these girls, and allowed us to take the risk of having them move in with us for the period of their pregnancies. I really want to thank Ann for her book.
