The Best!
Over 200 of the most commonly encountered chief complaints in family medicine! This is the book! It's contributors are outstanding educators and clinicians from the school of medicine Harvard. Practical, no-nonsense straight to point case management -- it is like having a team of brilliant family physicians to consultant on every aspect of your daily practice. I am a PA and I think this should be on every practitioner's book shelf in family medicine.

An exelent book .I'm waiting for the next edition
It is a pleasure to find a medical book that took into consideration the practical aspects of a primary physician in his clinic.
I'd like to suggest to incorporate into the next edition more visual items (cXR, CT, MRI dermatological, etc.) as it says that one picture worth a thousand words

this is a very useful book for primary care
I'am a specialist on general internal medicine, and i work in a universitary hospital, i have responsability in education of residents in family care medicine. I think, that this boox can help in this formation because is very clear in explanations and criterials of clinicasl problems and aid to take decisssions. My suggest is in future edition, you should include some chapters about geriatric medicine.

The Veritable Years - religious verse of Brother Antoninus
The Veritable Years is the second volume of The Crooked Lines of God: A Life Trilogy, the collected poems of William Everson. Each of the three volumes reflects a major stage in the life of the poet and the thematic development of his verses. Everson, who was known as "the poet of the San Joaquin," died at his home on Kingfisher Flat in Santa Cruz County, California, in June 1994. He left behind 52 volumes of poetry and 10 books of prose. During his lifetime, Everson received every major literary award and fellowship for poetry; only the Pulitzer eluded him. Everson was Poet in Residence at Kresge College at the University of California, Santa Cruz, from 1971 to 1981, when he retired from academic life.

Everson was a member of the Dominican Order of monks between 1951 and 1969. He wrote poetry and gave public readings of his verses as Brother Antoninus. Time magazine referred to Everson as the "Beat Friar," though, strictly speaking, Everson was not a member of the Beat Generation literary movement. According to Stanford University's Albert Gelpi, Everson was the greatest religious poet of the second half of the twentieth century, succeeding T. S. Eliot, whom Gelpi dubbed the greatest religious poet of the first half of the century. Everson's "A Canticle to the Waterbirds" is a masterpiece of religious verse. One has to go back to Francis Thompson and Gerard Manley Hopkins for comparisons. Everson's religious verse is published in this volume.

Everson's early verse was highly secular and pantheistic. Much of it was written under the influence of Robinson Jeffers, whom Everson considered a mentor. The early poems (1934-1948) are published in Volume 1 of the trilogy as The Residual Years.

Everson left the religious life in 1969 to return to the secular world and marry Susanna Rickson, his third wife. The poems of the latter period (1966-1994) show Everson's maturation as a poet and a man. He returns to nature, and his verse becomes secular again and at times erotic. The poems of this period are published in Volume 3 of the trilogy as The Integral Years.

The three volumes of the trilogy were actually planned by Everson during his lifetime and carried through to completion posthumously by the dedicated work of Allan Campo and Bill Hotchkiss, longtime friends of the poet, who edited the collection. They also collected Everson's unpublished and uncollected poems, which are published in the volumes as appendixes.

Really easy to understand. Great way to explore your TI-83.
I used this book in my AP Statistics class my senior year of high school. The Workshop Statistics book was really easy to follow and understand. I have always had a hard time with math, but when I used this book, I picked up on the concepts quicker. The only problem I had with this book is the fact that explanations of the formulas and procedures were not expained as clearly as I would have liked. This book is also a great way to orient yourself with your TI-83 scientific calculator (Texas Instraments).

A High School Math Teacher's Point of View
This is an excellent book. Its lab-style approach with practical / tangible sets of data coupled with on-target follow-up questions makes this a wonderful book to teach and learn from. This version of the textbook focuses on using a TI-83 calculator to organize, display and analyze data in most of the problems. Managing the data lists for the TI-83 calculators in class can be difficult. I recommend that you ... download the program files that Al Coons put together. He placed all the individual data lists for each problem into programs. This makes it easy to manage and transfer these files to other calculators. Especially between TI-83+ and TI-83 calculators. Solutions to the "Activities" problems and various supplementary materials can be downloaded.... I recommend using Adobe Acrobat to download the "Activities" solutions. I made the mistake of using an old web-browser and wasted a whole summer copying and pasting. This may sound obvious, but it must be stressed....Answer all of the problems that you plan to work on in class or assign for homework prior to the actual class. Some problems require advance preparation or data collected from previous class activity problems. You need to find this out before walking into a classroom. This is the first time that I've taught an AP-Statistics course and the approach of this book takes a little getting used to. I'm having a ball! I rely heavily upon this book and the Barron's AP-Statistics study guide. Good Luck. It's a great book!

Complicated but easy to understand.
I read this book during my senior AP Bio class. My Biology teacher yelled at me for reading it during her class. So I left, because I didn't want to be yelled at. I then received a detention. Then I couldn't do my statistics homework and I failed the class. The book was stimulating if somewhat bland. I am writing this in a Starbucks in Toronto.
