I have read this book for like 4 times...and each time i find out something new that i have not noticed before.
Haykal was in a position to get so much information,and he has a way to put such information in a valuble book.

if you are ready to be neutral,then go ahead and but this book cause then you will know the meaning of secret channels.

I purchased this book for parents of one of my students, as a present; and then apologized to them for reading it before they got to see it. I opened it, just to take a quick peek, and found it so interesting I didn't want to set it down.

The excerpts from the Qu'ran, the insights into the values of American Muslim families, the balance of heart and head, make this a wonderful book. This book has nothing to do with politics - it is purely about parenting and the priorities Muslim families place on providing guidelines/boundaries with love, for their children.It has a very good section on the affects of television on all families,and the importance of both setting limits and talking with children about what they see and hear in the media.

The book gives non-Muslims a rare glimpse into the parenting messages of the Qu'ran and to see the similarities in families of ALL faiths when it comes to child rearing.This book is definitely worthwhile reading for teachers who want to be more sensitive and supportive to Muslim students and their parents.

Alhmadu Lillahi Rabbil 'Alamin ... This beautiful book wasgiven to me as a gift, and I have found it very interesting-andinsightful. I am a Muslim-American, so this book helps me relatebetter to children who grow up in America, following Islam. I amdoing some graduate work in Elementary Education, and I find that thisbook ties in a great deal with that subject, as well. I wouldrecommend this book to a Muslim and a non-Muslim--especially a teacheror parent who's interested in relating better to Muslim children andtheir families. Overall, it is a very positive book.

This book is perfectly calculated to be read in the street on a hot day, holding the place lightly with a finger as one walks from one superb building to the next. Effortless learning and prose shine on them like a torch. The book has the humility to accept historical Islam on its own terms, uniquely explaining the Arabic texts written on walls already saturated with religious and political meaning. Is there any other guide quite like it and quite as good?

Cairo is one of the great cities in the world, and a walk through its Islamic areas transports you back hundreds, even thousands of years. Caroline Williams and her predecessors have put together a marvelous guide to most of the Islamic monuments, large and small, in Cairo. The book is divided by sections of the city and Williams suggests several "tours" visitors can give themeselves. I found it a valuable "tour guide" when I was exploring the city and an important reference when cataloging my slides after returning home. With detailed information about the history and finer architectural points of some two hundred monuments, as well as tips for getting around Cairo, this book (or its paperback version, ISBN 977-424-316-2) is a must-have for every Cairo-bound traveller!

I found that the book highlights many of the family values and principles that are missing from our modern society. The information in the book is complemented with input from professionals in various fields on the psychological, physical, and spiritual aspects of growing up as a teen.
I enjoyed very much reading the case studies and practical examples; I thought they were very informative and helpfull in highlighting solutions and recommendations to many issues.

I really enjoyed reading this book for many reasons. It was comprehensive and practical, covering many of the real-life issues we may face raising teenagers today. It was also simple and easy to follow, while still educating me on some issues that are quite valuable, such as the physical, psychological, spiritual and emotional changes that teenagers go through.

The one thing that I liked the most about this book is the case studies, because they gave me the chance to see the application instead of just the theory, and they really helped me bring to home all the issues discussed in the book.

is rather odd, the volume certainly provides the readers a realistic picture of the problems of building and adapting frameworks by learning from others' experience.
A CD-Rom is also included with this book.

Overall, these framework books collect the state-of-the-art on framework development, offering a comprehensive and
easy-to-understand guide for both academics and practitioners in the field. It is clear that framework technologies will not solve all the problems (perhaps they rise
more challenges than current approaches), however, taking advantage of the framework possibilities can make your development process more repeatable,
productive, and also less painful. The gains of this retrain are no doubt a good investment.

I would like to congratulate the authors of three volumes on Building, Implementing and Domain specific application frameworks on an extremely well done job. I found the three volumes to be an invaluable and comprehensive source on application frameworks. These volumes cover all aspects pertaining to frameworks including models of development, key technical and business issues surrounding building of frameworks, experiences, lessons learned and successful practices to mention a few.

In my opinion the three volumes are a must read for any software engineer who has been using or developing frameworks and as essential for software designers who want to be introduced and train in this area. The building volume is in particular attractive as a textbook for an advanced course on application frameworks.

The ``Application Framework'' series (building, implementing, and domain-specific applications) are truly excellent experienced-based guide on building and implementing object-oriented (OO) frameworks. Each book in the series is a gold mine; excellent examples of successful implementation at corporations from all around the world are provided. The examples practically walk one thru all steps of developing and implementing a framework. The series provides numerous invaluable technical as well as managerial tips. This is a very unique practical series and most essential for those who want to be successful in enterprise software development in 21st century.

The authors/editors are well-known experts in the OO arena and that sure adds to the credibility and value of the series.

I'd recommend all three books to practitioners and consultants. It is a money well invested. I also recommended the first book for a graduate course in object-oriented development.

I bought this book and have used it EXTENSIVELY, it is great, the concepts of digital and microprocessor design are explained very very clearly. There are alot of digital and microprocessor books in the market, but I say this book "Fundamentals of digital logic and microprocessor design" tops them all, it covers basic digital information all the way to Intel and Motorolla processors and much more. I think this book will be my secret weapon against those nasty tests that my digital teachers give :-) ,

ONE OF THE BEST BOOK OF THE DECADE

I highly recommended this book to anyone that is interested or would like to learn about digital logic and microcomputer design. This book features high-interest materials, exceptionally clear explanations, and numerous practice activities. The best point of this book is the detailed references to Motorola and Intel microprocessors where it is very helpful in today's technology. As a beginner in digital logic and microcomputer design, I find this book to be very helpful to adapt the subject quickly and to pick up the skills in advance. In addition, this book cover the latest technology, so I am always up to date in the computer and digital field.

I only got my copy last week and it's already helped me a lot with finding a teaching job in the Czech Republic.

As soon as I got the book, I wrote a resume using the directions which it gives. Then I emailed the resume and a covering letter to the Czech schools which are listed in one of the appendices. That was about 5 days ago. I've already received encouraging replies from 4 schools and tomorrow I'm having a phone interview with one of them - a school in Prague. I hope I'll soon get more replies and more interviews.

Now I'm using the book to prepare a list of questions to ask during my interview. I'm also reading the chapters on what documents I will need and what other preparations I should make - I didn't realize that there were so many things to think about and arrange before going to work abroad.

I think it's a great book and very practical. I totally recommend it to anyone who wants to get a job teaching English in a foreign country.

I think the book is really good for people who are just starting to look into teaching English to foreign students. The FAQs chapter and the one on the current overseas job market answered just about all of the questions that were running around in my head for the last few weeks. I feel that I now understand a lot about what TEFL is and what career prospects it offers. I'm also more aware of some of the problems and limitations. I'm trying to decide which TEFL certificate program to take and the book is helping me a lot with this. It lists the good and bad points of the different programs. Until I read it, I didn't know that there were so many programs and that some of them are much more popular than others with overseas schools. I haven't used any of the stuff on job searching yet but it all looks very clear and well organized. When I have my certificate and start looking for jobs all the addresses of employers should be really useful. I looked at a couple of other books but they didn't seem to be as detailed or as up to date. I don't think they even had email addresses for schools. This looks like the perfect book for someone like me. I'm going to lend it to my parents because they think I'm crazy to want to live abroad. I hope it will convince them that there are real job possibilities out there.

I've been teaching English as a Second Language in the US for three years and recently decided to go overseas. I bought Mr. Mohamed's book and have found it to be exactly what I needed: clear, informative and detailed. It has already helped me to obtain job offers in the areas where I most want to work, Thailand and China.
