Wkid: Easy Radio Plays
I really enjoyed this book. So many helpful hints! I'm presently in the process of starting a Radio Drama Production at my school. I'm really excited!

Radio plays that kids and teachers love
Classroom teachers who cringe at the thought of costumes and make-up and memorizing lines for elementary students will love practicing and performing these radio dramas. The stories are fun and suited for intermediate elementary students from 4th to 8th grade. The book gives valuable information on sound effects and how to tape the production for the best results. My classroom had a blast and the parents loved getting a copy of the tape.

Brittany's Review of "The Cat Sitter Mystery."
I read the book,"The Cat Sitter Mystery." This book was a really good book. I really liked the book because it was about cats. This book had a real mystery behind it, and made you want to read more. Also, the names of the cats were different. The cat's names were like people's initials. I really thought that was neat and different.

The best part of the book was when Beth starts to notice weird things and noises start to occur in the house next door. I liked that part because you didn't know what was going to happen. Also, when Beth finds out it's just Paul making all the noises.

Two story elements that were the most vivid were the setting and resolution. The setting was very vivid, because it felt like you were inside the book, seeing what the characters saw.And last, the resolution was clear in the way that the author told you every single detail that you needed to know.

Worth the bucks
Okay - I have never read this book. I have never seen the 1939 production. I know both are classics, but this movie in itself is just GOOD. I received this videotape a few years ago as a birthday present, complete with its free promotional locket, so I could be a princess, too! And although I initially would have preferred a copy of "The Secret Garden", I gave this movie a first critical viewing, and was surprised at how much I enjoyed watching.

Sara Crewe is wonderfully portrayed by Liesel Matthews. She seems natural for the part, and at home as an actress. It was not obvious that this was an introductory role for her. I found myself nearly totally immersed in Sara's life, through her hardships, times of despair and times of joy and hope. She is a little girl I would have loved to know and befriend. This movie is captivating for everyone, but specifically young female audiences. I definitely recommend it.

A Beautiful Story Anyone Can Fall in Love With!
This has got to be one of my favourite movies. I'm the type of person who loves orphan stories such as The Secret Garden, Annie, etc. But this one touched me like no other. It's about a little girl named Sarah who loves storytelling. She hasn't any brothers or sisters, nor a mother, so she just has one father whom she loves more than anyone. They both live together in India. Then her father is called to battle, and Sarah is sent to a boarding school in New York, where her mother used to attend as a girl. When her father is killed in battle and there's no one to pay for Sarah's school fees, the cruel headmistress forces Sarah into a life of poverty. She quickly befriends the other servant girl whose name is Becky, and somehow manages to live through the hardships that come her way. The ending just blew me away. The ending isn't the same as the book, because this movie is only based on the book, not a recreation. But all the same, you'll love it. The perfect family movie, and a great movie to introduce not only girls-but boys also-to the world of poverty children in England used to suffer.

GREAT family movie!
This is one of my favorite movies. So well-acted and well-made. Leisel Matthews is a very good actress, and she does a great job at portraying young Sara Crewe, the little girl who is sent to a strict boarding school by her gentle and loving father, who must go serve in the war. When Captain Crewe (Sara's father) is believed to have been killed in battle, Sara is devastated, but she decides to have as much optimism as she can. Though the coldhearted mistress of the school, Miss Minchin, forces Sara to become a servant, Sara's spirit does not die. Miss Minchin takes away all of Sara's pretty things and attempts to take her "princess" title away, but Sara will never give up belief that she and all other girls are princesses, mainly because her beloved father has told her so. Sara develops a close bond with Becky, who is also a servant at the school. Throughout the movie, Sara's strength and her kind nature will enchant everyone who watches the film. It is truly an uplifting story. It's my favorite version of "the little princess," and it definitely deserves 5 stars. I'd give it 10 if I could.
