If you enjoy ancient Egypt you will love this book. It paints a real picture of life in ancient Egypt. the characters were well developed and the story will keep you turning the page into the wee hours.

Although this book is mainly seen as a love story (which i usually hate), this is actually a great story that personifies a history of Egypt that is mainly seen as old mummies that we seek to discover and entrap it's humanity with curses as we seek to explore their mysteries. The clash of religion and power in this book is redeming and makes it worth reading even if it is a bit mushy in places. I read this book as a young child and I was enlightened by the true ugliness of the world as it is hidden by proxies to establish power, as is true in the world of today; the history we make for the future.
