A book that must not be missed.
I read the book more than three years ago. Even though I have forgotten most of the details of Mr Adams's story, I am deeply impressed by this man's courage and ability of not showing even the slightest sign of grudge agaisnt those who have played him out. This shows that he is a very forgiving and loving guy. I admire him for the way in which he reacted to the whole incident. It's a very touching story, undeniably. May he live in peace and happiness forever.

A real life thriller that leaves fiction a long way behind
This book has left a mark on my life and despite reading it over ten years ago I can still remember the tale in some detail. I recommend it to anyone who wishes to understand the true power of the multinnational

Destroys all faith in the European Community
A most distrurbing tale of what happened to an executive of a Swiss pharmaceutical company after he had left the organisation.

Doing what he felt was right for the good of consumers and the EC, he passed cartel and shady dealing information to the European Parliament.

His subsequent arrest, the 'suicide' of his wife, and his ensuing struggle for freedom will bring a genuine tear to the eye of even the hardest reader.

I have tried to contact Stanley Adams and John Prescott (who assisted him in his plight) but to no avail.

All in all a gripping read - at times you will not beleive it is NON-fiction.

Hilarious!
My kids and I laughed and laughed as Adam Sharp and Magna Carter (great name!) tried to get Big Ben back from the Texans who had invaded London. This is a great series for kids who like spies. My sons hope to see Adam Sharp on televisio one of these days. A wonderful series.

Long live Adam Sharp!
This is one of the cleverest series being published for children. It is so funny, and Adam is so cool. My kids love these books - and the new format from Random House is really attractive. The artwork is wonderful, too. How cool is it to go swimming in a tuxedo, looking for sharks. Long live Adam Sharp!

This is a good overall view of his work.
My wife and I have one of his watercolor paintings. It was in an old antique shop. It is a mountain stream painting with mountain background.

Rocky Mountain High
This book is the major source for both artistic and historical information about Adams, widely considered to be Colorado's finest impressionist landscape painter. Adams is best known for his stunning views of snowy mountain peaks in early morning or sunset light, or wreathed in storm clouds, and for his luminous twilight and sunset paintings of the river bottoms near Denver. For sample photos from this book, photos of his paintings, and additional information, see the Adams website, charlespartridgeadams.com

Rocky Mountain High, Colorado
Charles Partridge Adams (1858-1942) is widely considered to have been Colorado's finest landscape painter, best-known for his stunning views of snowy mountain peaks in early morning or sunset light, or wreathed in storm clouds, and for his luminous twilight and sunset paintings of the river bottoms near Denver. His paintings are best characterized as impressionistic and subjective. This lavish book contains 92 full-color illustrations of his work in both oils and watercolors, as well as three historical essays about Adams' life and work. A unique feast for those who love the Rocky Mountains and impressionism.

Eh... a decent primer but not a "definitive" reference.
First of all, I tend to read through material like this rather quickly. That said, it was rather unsettling that there were inaccuracies and outright errors blatant enough for me to catch them in the midst of "speeding" through the text. The technical reviewers really dropped the ball on this one.

An example? Hard drive mirroring (yes, it's mentioned in there) is not RAID Level 5; it's RAID Level 0 -- and more than two drives are required for RAID Level 5 anyway!

There are also quite a few typesetting errors where references to supposed "preceding" illustrations / diagrams actually precede the diagrams being mentioned or where the diagrams do not accurately reflect the material being discussed.

But I digress. This book would be a decent primer for someone new to IIS and looking to deploy basic Web services on a Win2K server, but seasoned IIS admins will be let down. Ms. Adam's book is essentially nothing more than an attempt to flesh out the material contained in the IIS5 readme files and online help.

My advice? If you're new to IIS5, buy the book and use it to get started. If you're not new to IIS, spend your money on something a little more substantial such as the MS Press "Microsoft Internet Information Services 5.0 Documentation" book.

The Most Practical Guide on IIS Available
I've purchased several books on IIS administration and none of them compare to the quality of both of the content and presentation of the material in this resource. Simply the best IIS resource guide out there.

Required reading for IIS administrators.
This is the defnitive guide for IIS administration on Windows 2000. From security and protocols to database integration, this book sets a solid foundation for building a robust and efficient real-world web server. There is no better text that I've found for getting the latest version of IIS up and running smoothly and quickly. This book should have been shipped with the product.

Inspiring to Holy Living
After having read some of the reviews given to this Bible, I was concerned about the issue of mercy and grace. Paul teaches us that grace can be taken as far as holiness can be lived. The articles that are found here really urge you toward holy living. It has to be recognized that even though we are free from the law, God hates sin. We cannot go forward and press into the throneroom of grace without a right heart. The Bible helped me recognize that God accepts me despite my sin, but at the same time requires me to press on in holiness. I would recommend it to anyone that wants to be blessed by the Pentecostal/Charismatic theologians of the twentieth century. I have had many of these men as professors one time or another, and even with their hard stance on holy living their love is beyond compare.

Good Pentecostal Study Bible
I read the reviews of the Full Life Study Bible and felt I had to respond, especially to the woman from Georgia's view that this study Bible is filled with "hate."

This study Bible reflects the work of a Pentecostal missionary, the late Donald Stamps. Various other Pentecostal scholars also worked on the study Bible including prestigious scholars such as Dr. Stanley Horton, Dr. French Arrington, and Dr. Robert Shank.

My only complaints against the Full Life is that the notes were written by one man so they are not as plentiful as say the NIV Study Bible. I also would favor a more literal translation such as the NASB or the NKJV then the NIV although I am not opposed to the NIV. The study notes reflect the theology of the classical Pentecostal movement. For a more charismatic study Bible see the Spirit-Filled Study Bible published by Thomas Nelson and edited by Dr. Jack Hayford.

Easy to understand
I enjoyed this Bible. I have been looking for a Bible that contained the pentecostal/charismatic notes. It also helps me understand the Arminian theological perspectives on different passages of the Bible.
This study Bible has great articles like "The ministry leadership gift for the church", "Election and predestination", "sanctification", etc...
This study Bible does emphasize holiness. But do not misunderstand this study Bible as a "legalistic" study bible. This Bible does not emphasize that good deeds grants you salvation. But it does emphasize how Christians should live in a dark world and how we are to be a light.
I do recommend this if you are looking for a study Bible with pentecostal/charismatic/amrinian perspectives.
